Available immediately is a generously sized full one bedroom apartment located in large very private garden setting overlooking the ocean. With a dock to swim from, and a small sandy beach just off the golf course for those who prefer sand castles and wading, the apartment enjoys a tranquil setting with simply stunning views over the water. The ground floor walk out apartment is on the Middle Road bus service line and is approximately one half mile from the bus stop and 1.5 miles from the Belmont Ferry stop. The apartment itself is part of a large handsome modern home surrounded by extensive gardens and buffered from any noise of traffic by the huge private golf course behind it. The apartment has a separate kitchen with full sized appliances and cutlery, dishes, pots and pans for four. One can eat outdoors on the patio, on the broad lawns or down on the enormous dock. There is a livingroom with TV on cable, a private phone line (all long distance calls can only be made by using a BERMUDA CALLING CARD, readily available island wide at gas stations, convenience stores etc). There is a King bed (which can be disassembled into two twin beds) and a single fold up bed. Linens are supplied but we ask you to bring your own beach towels as bathroom towels must not go to the shore. There is a four piece bathroom, linen closets and laundry facilities for those staying 10 days or more only. The apartment is air-conditioned and decorated in pale colours. A beautiful sun lit terrace has garden furniture and an umbrella and is equipped with a BBQ. It is a lovely place to watch the sail boats drift by or watch the sun setting in splendour over the ocean and the stars come out. On the dock you can snooze on a chaise lounge and listen to the waves gently slap the concrete dock and the steps to the water’s edge… There is grocery shopping on Middle Road within two miles and a bus stop nearby as well as a gas station for the mopeds you may want to rent. If you are going to utilize the bus services, we recommend purchasing the bus/ferry pass but be aware that buses don’t run much beyond the rush hours in the evening. A taxi to town (or back again) should cost you no more than $25.00 to $30.00. Hamilton has lovely places to dine and shop, and in the summer months through to October, Harbour Nights on Front Street on Wednesday evenings is a sparkling outdoor market event. With live music, delicious food and unusual locally made items to buy, the street is shut to vehicular traffic and the better shops remain open. Everyone congregates happily til 10 pm. and then drifts off to window-shop, or investigate the night clubs, bars and cafes
Closer to home, you will have the pleasure of exploring the spectacular beaches along the southern coastline: the famous ones such as Horseshoe Bay and Warwick Long Bay are renowned, but you will not want to miss the stunning trio of secret coves tucked between those two larger beaches- Chaplin Bay, Stonehole Bay and Jobson’s Cove. These three are the last word in romantic pink sand and gentle surf in splendid seclusion. Closer than Hamilton for fine dining are the excellent facilities of The Reefs Resort in Southampton: their open-air Coconuts restaurant overlooking their private silvery sand beach will arrange a table on the beach with candles, full linens and silverware and delectable meal for your never-to-be-forgotten evening celebration. One must reserve ahead to make arrangements by calling: 441-238-0222. Lunch is available daily without reservations being required.
There are three golf courses nearby as well for you to play: Riddell’s Bay charges $135.00 a game with a cart, or a two week temporary membership for 2 for $600.00. The Belmont Golf Course, the Fairmont Princess Golf Club and the Port Royal Golf Course are all within 10 minutes of the property and each offers its own unique challenge.
