Property Description

Aloha -- which means hello, goodbye, and love.  When you arrive at The Islands at Mauna Lani, you will be thinking Hello! and Love!, but not Goodbye!
 
Villa K1 at The Islands is akin to something out of Beautiful Hawaii’s Beautiful Homes.  The décor is show-home elegant, yet perfectly practical.  The kitchen is fully appointed with pots and pans, baking and serving dishes (indoor and outdoor), small appliances and kitchen tools that you would want. There are enough plates, cups and glasses, cutlery and utensils for 6 guests.  Care was taken to label everything making the villa very user friendly.  There is also a private BBQ on your lanai.

Guests of unit J101 receive complimentary access to the Cliff Drysdale Mauna Lani Tennis and Fitness Facility nearby, including tennis, pickle ball courts and a 25 meter lap pool (each open to appointments), modern indoor/outdoor fitness equipment (including Peleton bikes) chaise loungers, a wet sauna, and an outdoor heated sauna. This represents a large savings versus the current pricing at $250/$450/$550 weekly charges for individual/couples/4 person guest families. Private instruction is extra.
 
The three King en-suite bedrooms are spacious and luxurious.  Each room has a private lanai with breathtaking views of lush, colorfull grounds and North Kohala in the distance.   The showers are incredible: black slate walls and pebbles under your feet.  Two spa robes hang in each bathroom. You will be impressed by the full-size shampoo and conditioner, and body wash in each shower.  The towels for beach, pool and bath are plentiful.  Hair dryers in each bathroom, and a portable lit magnifying mirror makes getting ready a breeze and less to pack from home.
 
You will find many books in the home on island birds, sea life, wildlife, flora and fauna, many of which are right outside your lanai doors.   If you are familiar with island life, you can anticipate early sunrise and early sunset, which is conducive to full days and then feeling ready for bed at 9 pm!  

Steps away from the villa, within The Islands there is a great free-form pool complete with a waterfall, grotto and jetted hot tub.  The pool area features propane barbecues, fridge, dining tables, washrooms, and plenty of chaise lounges and umbrellas.  
 
There is a beautiful sandy cove beach nearby. You can reach it in a 15 min walk along a beautiful paved path through a lava field and ancient fishing ponds. Or you can drive 4 min and park within the secure gates.  With the beach access card you are provided, you are permitted parking and use of the loungers and cabanas and fully serviced washrooms.  Dine or Lunch at Napu’s Restaurant.  Rent a paddle board, snorkel or a outrigger canoe from Mauna Lani Sea Adventures.

The Mauna Lani Resort offers: golf, spa & fitness, and tennis at reasonable rates.  The Shoppes at Mauna Lani offer: grocery store, coffee shop, several restaurants Tommy Bahama being a popular one!
