The owners lovingly restored this 17th century mansion with painstaking attention to detail and luxury. The moment you drive up to the house, which is behind a beautiful stone wall and gate, you realize that you have reached nirvana. The cypress lined path to the front door passes through a meticulous English Garden. Above you on the right are stone steps to take you to the large swimming pool with terrace and pergola for outdoor dining. The scents of lime and olive trees mixed with magnolias, rose bushes and bougainvillea hang in the summer air and offer shade during the day. The back of the house is just as stately as the front of the house, with large stairs leading to the door, and a perfectly symmetrical Italian garden that is viewed from all three floors.
Close to Lucca ~ one of the most beautiful small towns in Italy with well preserved Roman street plans. Walk or bike around the top of the 16th century ramparts which encloses the town. Day trips to the leaning tower of Pisa, the beach at Viareggio or the marble mines of Carrara are some of the many adventures waiting for you.
