Property Information
"Sea Fans" was designed so that each of the bedrooms is very private. Each hexagonal BR has its own separate entrance, A/C, bathroom and "outdoor" shower (no one can see in but you can watch the sunset over Drake's Channel). There are There are 2 separate beachside bedroom pods and a 2 story, 2 bedroom pod. The second floor BR even has a kitchenette. Each BR has its own large covered terrace with teak furniture. There is a wet bar by the pool, complete with an ice maker and refrigerator.

The main house has a high cathedral roof with 4 ceiling fans and indirect lighting. There is a modern, extremely well equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave oven, toaster oven and refrigerator/freezer with water and ice dispensed through the door. The large center island has a beautiful polished granite top with stools beneath it. The flooring in all living areas is Mexican stone tile. Although "earth tones" are prevalent throughout the interior, bright floral patterns brighten up each room. A glass-top, stone-base dining room table seats 6 comfortably. An L-shaped sitting area just off of the kitchen is set up for easy conversation or to watch TV. A library of books, videos, games and CDs is available for your enjoyment.

"Sea Fans" is located 10 minutes from the airport, the marina,
Little Dix and most of the stores that you would need to get things from. (Do rent a car.) "Sea Fans" is also 20 minutes away from the North Sound end of the island where you will find 8 excellent restaurants. Accessible by road in Leverick Bay is The Lighthouse.
Accessible by water taxi from Gun Creek are:Biras Creek, Bitter End, The Carvery, Drake's Anchorage, Fat Virgin, Saba Rock and Sand Box.
There are very well stocked (usually) grocery stores on Virgin Gorda. These and several other great restaurants (Little Dix, Chez Bamboo and the Old Yard Inn) and some fun/funky ones (Top of the Baths, The Mineshaft, The Rock
and The Bath and Turtle) are all within a 10-15 minute car ride. All are casual (leave your coat and tie at home) and all take credit cards. The currency throughout the BVI is the US dollar.





To get to Virgin Gorda, most guests fly to San Juan, Puerto Rico.


From there you can fly direct to Virgin Gorda by either commercial or


charter flights. If there are 5 or more in your party, fly by charter


flight; it is cheaper and far more convenient. We would recommend WRA


which is now called "Caribbean Wings." You can also (but I wouldn't) fly


to Tortola and then take a 20 minute ferry to Virgin Gorda.

    "Sea Fans" is located on the leeward side of the island so it enjoys gentle breezes with temperatures usually in the low 80's to upper 70's throughout the year. Step off of the property directly onto a clean sandy beach. Because there is a reef a short swim off shore the water laps against the beach making it ideal for children (of all ages). The reef also gives you a very private beach by preventing boaters from being able to come ashore. Under the water a soft, sandy bottom with no coral or sea urchins stretches out a short swim to the reef. Bring your own or rent snorkel gear so that you can discover the wide variety of fish and coral right in your own "back yard".

    There are three shaded areas attached to the house for those who prefer a cooler (safer) place to sit, read or sleep. The house is entered through a wide shaded porch. On the beach side of the house (the back) is a large porch with both a dining and sitting area. Beside the house is a Bougainvillea-covered terrace with a stone breakfast dining table for 4. A 20X40 foot pool (the largest in the area) is situated between the covered patio and the beach. This is a rectangular "swimming" pool, not a clever odd-shaped "dipping" pool. A seat-height native stone wall which defines the pool provides a great place to sit as well as safety for the "little ones". At one end of the pool is a below-water bench seat to rest on after doing your laps (or for sipping your favorite frozen drink). Teak lounge chairs and a teak table with umbrella are placed about the Oklahoma stone decking. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with colorful flowers, several varieties of palms, banana, lime and grapefruit trees. Native boulders rest comfortably about the property, directing the various lighted paths to their destination.
