This location is ideal for walkers as you can easily walk either north or south from it. Note: Saturday arrival is required for a minimum of one week. According to legend, Florida's Indian Rocks Beach community got its name from a native medicine man who miraculously healed his chief using the waters of a natural sulfur spring located in Kolb Park, just across from Indian Rocks Beach City Hall. Early settlers would have said, "The Indians are on the way to the rocks" when they saw the Indians. Indian Rocks Beach is just a short drive from Tampa and St. Petersburg. It offers almost three miles of beautiful beaches that stretch along the shimmering Gulf of Mexico.
