Hello Rindy,
Well it's been a long month since we had to leave your beautiful corner of CT. We just wanted to send a few memorable photos and say what a great time we had. The cottage had everything we needed, and we were pleased to find so many things just a short drive away. The fishing in Washinee was excellent! We caught Largemouth, Smallmouth, Perch, Pickerel, and Calico Bass in the lake. Bonus...I landed my biggest Largemouth this year, right from the cottage dock! Officially weighed at 5 lb. 11 0z. We also had a great afternoon of Brook trout fishing at Macedonia - what a beautiful park!
Lions Head and Bald Peak were great short hikes and I think that was the Twin Lakes we were looking down on from Lions Head. We went to all the nearby waterfalls; Campbell’s, Bash Bish, Kent, and the one just off the Riga Mountain Rd. They were a real treat. Only wish we could have taken all that green and quiet home with us.
Thanks again,
Marcia, Judy
