Located in the center of this lakeside town, Bella Bellagio is on the first
floor of a building directly across the street from Lake Como and the ferry
stop. From here, guests walk to shops including the antique shop on the
floor below and dine at restaurants featuring fresh fish from the lake.
Venture out each day to a new lakeside town, including Varenna, Tremezzo, Como and little Nesso perched high on a hillside. Return each evening, pick up some food at the market and enjoy a barbecue on the back terrace. Bella Bellagio offers maid service if arranged when booking. Firewood is included in the price.
The furnishings are a combination of family heirlooms and antiques in the
living room with more simple furniture in the narrow kitchen and bedrooms. All bedrooms have window screens, and both queen bedrooms are air conditioned. As in many homes, the bedrooms are not equal. One queen bedroom is smaller and simpler in style than the other.
From the living room and balcony, you have a direct view of the lake and the street below. In the rear, Bella Bellagio has a furnished terrace with a small sloping garden.
Parking is on a first come, first served basis with a small free parking area
across the street. When that’s full, there are two other lots within 200 yards. For those who plan to take day trips around the lake, the ferry across the street runs from dawn to dusk.

First floor: Entrance hall. Living/dining room with fireplace, CD player and
doors leading to a narrow lake view balcony. Kitchen with stove top, oven,
microwave, fridge, dishwasher and doors leading to the rear terrace,
garden and utility room with washing machine. One bedroom with a
queen size bed. One small bedroom with a queen size bed. One bedroom
with a single bed. One bathroom with shower. One bathroom with tub
and hand shower.

Shopping and dining: In Bellagio, there are a variety of shops and
restaurants within walking distance.
Not to be missed: Isola Comacina, a tiny island in the middle of the Lake
is a 20 minute ferry ride. Along with one restaurant, it has the remains of
nine ancient churches.
Within walking distance: From April - October, tour the manicured
gardens of Villa Serbelloni and Villa Melfi, which also has a collection of
Egyptian artifacts.
Public Transportation: Bellagio's passenger ferry landing (no cars), is just
outside the apartment entrance (200 meters away), with service to other
lakeside downs. The bus stop is 100 meters away. Ferry and buses reach
the nearest train stops in Varenna and Como. Ferry and buses run 6am to
dusk, so daytrips must be planned accordingly for those with no car
rental.
Boat rental: In Lezzeno, a 10 minute drive. Available from June to
September.
Golf: The Menaggio & Cadenabbia Golf Club's 18 hole course is a 30
minute drive, combination of ferry and car ride. Golfers must have their
handicap card or club membership card to play.
Tennis/Swimming: Bellagio Sporting complex with swimming pool and
tennis is just one mile away. For those without a car, you can walk 200
yards to the Hotel du Lac where there is a free shuttle to the complex.
Outdoor activities: The San Primo mountains in the summer months have
excellent terrain for walking, hiking or biking, and skiing in the winter.
Open-air markets: In Bellagio, the morning market is the third Wednesday
of every month.
