ACCOMMODATION: This lovely, traditional Bermuda home is on one acre of land and enjoys a private garden setting in close proximity to the town of Hamilton and the lovely beaches of the South Shore of Bermuda. On the extensive grounds there is a large swimming pool with patio and poolside studio cottage which has a queen bed, two side tables, chest of drawers, small sitting area, small kitchenette with microwave, a two burner stove-fridge-sink unit, coffee maker, dishes and glassware etc.; satellite T.V. ; closet; and bath with large shower, sink and toilet. Hamilton with its shops, restaurants and nightlife, is only a ten minute moped ride away from the house. The house has recently undergone extensive renovations, restoring it to its previous splendour.
Accommodations downstairs include a gracious entrance hall; elegant living room with fire place; formal dining room; air conditioned den/office with television, stereo and CD, VCR and satellite service; fully equipped modern kitchen with breakfast area with satellite T.V. and laundry room; guest powder room and a lovely outdoor patio off the kitchen with built in barbecue and sink prep area. Upstairs features the master suite which has an antique four poster double bed, satellite T.V., walk in closet and large bathroom ensuite with a bidet and toilet, a large counter and two sinks, large corner tub and a four foot by four foot shower with top and side shower heads. Across the hall is another large room with two single beds, two closets and large bathroom ensuite with a bidet and toilet, a large counter and two sinks and a large tub and shower unit. Fifteen feet or so down the hall is another large room with satellite T.V., a large closet space, a double four poster bed, antique furnishings and a bathroom ensuite with a counter with one sink and a bath/tub unit.
ADDITIONAL FEATURES: All modern bathrooms with lovely floor to ceiling Italian tile and brass fixtures. Reverse-cycle air-conditioning in all of the bedrooms and the studio and the den. Ceiling fans in the bed rooms, kitchen and den. Fenced in upper yard suitable for young children who are supervised.
AVAILABILITY: The months of June, July and August.
RATES: Per week U.S.$4,800.00. Per month U.S.$16,000.00
The weekly rate includes hotel type maid service three times per week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday excluding public holidays from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.) electricity, pool and garden maintenance, local telephone calls satellite service excluding pay per view. Long distance telephone calls are for the tenant's account as well as pay per view movies etc. which are $2.99 each.
The monthly rate includes maid service as described above, pool and garden maintenance, local telephone calls and satellite service as described above. Long distance calls, pay per view and electricity are for the tenant's account.
A deposit of $1,000.00 for a weekly rental and $4,000.00 for a monthly rental is required upon booking and will not be refunded until two months after the tenancy is over to await the electricty, telephone and pay per view charges and repairs as a result of damage caused by the tenant. The full rental must be paid to the agent one month in advance of the tenancy.
OCCUPANCY: Maximum eight people including children. No cots or special beds may be erected, as they will damage the finish on the wooden floors.
NOTE: There is a friendly family cat which resides on the property and the owner would like the tenant to assume feeding responsibilities whilst in residence. The cat food will be provided. The cat prefers to wander in and out of the house, but if the tenant prefers the cat can live and be fed outside.
