The Savannah House was built in the 1950’s and recently renovated with new ownership. We have combined the elegance and comfort of a bed and breakfast with the privacy and amenities of a modern motel. It's perfect for a romantic getaway or a cozy vacation with the family while visiting the Finger Lakes Region.
Located in the heart of the Finger Lakes and along the western side of Seneca Lake, you will be in a very central location to enjoy all the region has to offer. From wine tasting, hiking, mountain biking, swimming, shopping to just reading and relaxing there are endless possibilities!
If you happen to find yourself at The Savannah House during peak season you'll have the opportunity to enjoy one of our weekly barbeques with other guests and possibly an outdoor movie night where we show a movie under the stars.

All rooms are named after local wineries. We offer two options at The Savannah House: A standard double with a queen bed and our suite that sleeps six and comes with a jacuzzi.
Standard Double:

These cozy rooms have a queen-size bed with down bedding, antique furniture, full bathroom, and a wonderful view of Seneca Lake and surrounding countryside.
Suite:

Our suite is the only room on the second floor and comes with a king-size bed with down bedding, separate living area with sofa bed, a Jacuzzi, full bathroom, and a private balcony with lake views.
The History:
The Savannah House was built in the 1950s and was originally known as "The Castle Point Motel." It was designed to serve the needs of tourists and passers-by traveling on Rt 14. The roadside motel was a convenient overnight lodging choice and offered a place to stay between the towns of Geneva and Watkins Glen.
Over the years, the Finger Lakes Region has undergone a dramatic transformation from a virtually unknown local getaway for residents of Rochester and Syracuse to a bustling tourist destination anchored by the wine industry and commonly referred to as the "Napa Valley of the East." When the "Castle Point Motel" became available a few years ago, the Hoke family took advantage of the opportunity to acquire the property and implement the necessary changes to create an environment that offers a "cottage style" lodging experience and a central location, all at competitive rates.
