Our glamorous, comfortable and recently renovated one level home is perched at the crest of the hill, providing delicious breezes that flow right across the ocean and the golf course, through the house. The front gardens are a riot of lovingly tended fruit trees and exotic species to delight the eye. The location is within the entrance driveway heading in to Rosehill’s Tuckers Point Resort.
The house overlooks the protected Castle Harbour islands and Baby Beach and is backed by the Mid Ocean Golf Course. Previous guests have remarked on the spectacular views and nice location with proximity to the beaches, the facilities at the resort which can be enjoyed with the purchase of a day pass and the airport.
The beach closest to the house is Baby Beach at Tuckers Town Cove. Baby Beach is a calm oasis with palm trees and low surf, just as one would expect! Tuckers Town is a much sought after location because of its wonderful golf courses, and palatial homes on spacious lots and the great quiet that pervades the district. With no shops, there’s very little through traffic. The area is a relatively recent development dating from the 1920’s when an Act of Parliament cleared the way to purchase property from the owners to consolidate enough land for a hotel and the famous golf course that launched Bermuda’s tourism industry. Prior to this time, Hamilton Parish was a quiet backwater with ship building, fishing, tobacco farms and an abundance of handsome old buildings that have been imaginatively re-incorporated into larger structures over the centuries. The Bermuda Architectural Heritage Series for Hamilton Parish and St George’s are books that will enhance your appreciation for the island and its remarkable heritage and a wonderful reference as you tour around.
