Timbers 8 was a very nice roomy place. I would def pick this place again the only problem we had was our hot tub didn't work when we arrived and no body would fix it due to the weather. Overall was nice experience

The location was spectacular and the house was beyond what we had expected. It was a very enjoyable experience and I would like to rent it again.

Great Place for our group
I hadn't stayed on this side of the mountain in several years, but really like the location. It is right on a bus stop, a very very short walk to the lift and close to a nice rental shop. Having a two car garage with plenty of space and a real wetroom in the basement to leave gear was great. Loved the private hottub, house decor and spacioiusness. The kitchen included everything we needed and it was nice for the group to be able to eat together. Our group of 8 had room to spare. Stacci at MVP was incredibly helpful with reservations.

Maiden visit to Snow Shoe
This was a wonderful stay for us all. It was a family trip and we truly enjoyed everything that the unit and Snow Shoe had to offer. The unit was very comfortable and we loved the fireplace and hot tub.Getting to the slopes was a breeze with the shuttle running to all areas. I would recommend staying here to anyone-wonderful experience. The rental agency, Mountain Valley Properties, was top notch and very helpful.

Good place for vacation
Overall it was nice play to stay. We had few issues with the bathroom door lock and garage being not clean.

The Tibers @ Snowshoe 2011
If you like snowshoe you will love the Timbers from Mountain Valley Properties. Reasonable rates and a wonderful location - just a short walk to the Soaring Eagle lift. And if you need to rent equipment - Elk River Snowboards is right on the way. The house was roomy and comfortable - we had 10 adults and everyone loved it. I highly recommend.

Overall nice, but hot water an issue
Overall the Timbers #8 is a great house. It is close to the mountain - a short walk down the street and across a parking lot. It is well kept, nice inside and with the shuttle system convenient enough to the Village. The small TVs leave a little to be desired, though TV watching wasn't high on our list. The only major problem we had with the house was the lack of hot water. The house sleeps 10 yet the hot water was enough for three. If we weren't skiing every day and could shower in shifts maybe that would be okay, but in this situation it made it very difficult to work around. Of my three showers I had one hot, one that was bearable even though I had to turn off the water while soaping, and one that was flat out painful because the water was soooo cold. That issue definitely needs to be addressed.

Was good just not great like other stays on the mountain
Debbie from Mountain Valley Properties attempted to get the house we really wanted but was unable due to renovations being made. The unit we got had a few problems with the garage door, garbage disposal and the fireplace quit working on a trip that stranded us on top of the mountain due to rainy and cold weather. The hot tub is located on the side of the house which looks into a neighbors window. Not much privacy there. We did not use the hot tub.The unit itself had a great floor plan and decorated very nicely. We were riding motorcycles and the garage was spectacular to keep the bikes in, all of us wanted to have a garage that nice. Overall we were happy but will try for another unit next time.
