We were somewhat fearful that we could even come close to matching that same experience this time around, but this unit exceeded our expectations. We will be back in the near future. Home away from home We have been staying at the Makena Surf for years. The location can't be beat; it's just 5 minutes away from Waileia shops and restaurants yet the beaches are never crowded. The condos are roomy, and we love having a full kitchen. Daily maid service is a plus and leaves us more time for the beach. The grounds are lush and beautiful. We do wish the pools had ocean views, but we spend most of our time snorkeling and playing on the beach. The snorkeling is outstanding, but the water can get rough on the beaches. These units and beaches are best for those with children 5 and up. We look forward to returning each year.
