Welcome to Van Beek’s Peak, the perfect vacation home offering stunning views, peace and privacy, all encompassed in a magnificent custom Timber Frame home. The craftsmanship in this home will keep you busy admiring it for hours and hours. Every detail is perfect. The reclaimed woods in the great room are artfully conjoined from old barn wood, pine tongue and groove floors, huge timbers, hickory accents and complimented by lots of windows to bring the view into the home. Exceptional views from this like-new custom log cabin conveniently located in Valle Crucis. Peaceful and private setting still convenient to area attractions. Enjoy the hot tub, firepit, air hockey, woodstove, central AC & more! Accommodates up to ten with three bedrooms, loft and three full baths that offer one king, three queens and two twins
The master bedroom on the main level is log and chink with classic bedding, king bed, walk in closets, and master bath with claw foot tub and a walk-in shower. The loft is fantastic with log bed, beautiful and luxurious bedding, massive cross beams and accented with antiques and lovely artifacts. For your convenience, there is also a second full bath on the main level.
The modern kitchen is the cook’s delight with marble counters, large farm-style sink, custom cabinets, center island for those who want to join in and again a view, view, view. For family meals, there is seating for everyone. The generously-sized covered deck offers a most fantastic layered view of miles and miles of mountains, dramatic in its changes from sunny, to misty clouds hugging the peaks, to windswept snow. Enjoy the view while sitting on the porch and if raining, there is nothing better than watching the clouds disappear like smoke. Guests often share stories of frequent wildlife passing by including deer and turkey, always a favorite with the entire family.
The quality and beauty continue in the main living area, with rustic and inviting touches throughout. The great room has a glass fronted fire stove to cozy up to and watch both the view, big screen TV and the fire after a day on the area slopes.
Head downstairs and find two more bedrooms, family room, second kitchen and another deck. The first bedroom on this level has a comfortable queen bed, the second offers both a queen as well as two twin beds, great for the kids to share, or young children that prefer to sleep in a room with their parents. There is another full bath on this floor as well. Large families will enjoy the second kitchen on this level, perfect if schedules vary – make coffee or fix lunch on your own time periods. The family room offers another television, games and X Box, air hockey, cozy gas firestove and deck access for another spot to enjoy the great view, or step over to the hot tub, a perfect spot to relax and rejuvenate again while enjoying the breathtaking views.
This three bedroom (plus loft bedroom) home sleeps up to ten more than comfortably. The surrounding area is great for hiking and the location is private yet still convenient to Banner Elk, the Valle Crucis Park and historic Mast General Store, ASU and downtown Boone. You will love the new memories your family creates while staying in this fantastic cabin!
Van Peak's Peak has paved access until approximately the last two miles, which alternate between pavement and gravel. It is plowed in winter, but 4WD or AWD vehicles are required November-March, and chains may also be necessary to access all properties in winter months. We are happy to help you find the home with the access you are most comfortable with, any time of year!

Main level: Master with king bed, bath with soaking tub and walk in shower.
Main level: Full bathroom
Upper level: Loft bedroom with queen bed
Lower Level: third bedroom with queen, second full bath, fourth bedroom with queen and two twins
Additional Notes:
- For larger groups, consider renting this cabin with nearby Black Bear Lodge or Farallon.
- The owner of this home uses exterior cameras to monitor the driveway and front entrance areas to ensure their home remains safe. No cameras are aimed at the hot tub or in the interior of the home.
-Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a firestarter for $25 plus tax per night. Let us know how many nights you will need.

This property is really all anyone could want in going to the nc mountains. The views are breathtaking and the cabin is so very cozy and clean. We felt so at home. We happened to be there over a weekend where a winter storm rolled through, which was both beautiful and made the drive back down the mountain at the end of our stay a little scary. To say we were looked after and guided through our worries is an UNDERSTATEMENT. The owners and the management company went above and beyond to make sure we got back on the road safely. A truly awesome experience in a perfect cabin in an exceptional part of the world.

We are snobs at where we stay and eat lol.. this place won't disappoint. Didn't feel like a rental and if you rent this place and not happy then you have bigger problems lol. Great place 5star

Awesome place to stay. Very nice and spacious cabin. We stayed for my girlfriends birthday weekend and had a blast. Wasn't too far from the local Walmart or food lion. The photos do not do this cabin justice. If it does snow I 100% recommend chains and 4wd. Will be book marking this cabin for future stays.

Lovely home in the mountains. The house was very well-equipped and perfect for our family. It was very comfortable and the views out over the mountains were spectacular. Her daughter and her family stayed in the lower apartment and we had the master on the main floor. My nephew took the loft. Plenty of room for all of us to spread out. They all got a lot of use out of the hot tub. We didn't love the drive up Justus or Nettles Ridge Road so we tried to do that just once per day. But once we got to the house, everything was perfect. We got very lucky with the weather and really enjoyed the area. Blue Ridge Rentals was very communicative and provided plenty of information and assistance. Thank you to Tom and Anita and all of the people from Blue Ridge Rentals.

We had an amazing time at Van Beek's Peek. The cabin is gorgeous and everything we needed and more was available, including a fully equipped kitchen (thank goodness because we forgot out crock pot and there was one there!). The view was incredible and we had plenty of blankets to wrap up in for coffee on the porch. The experience was cozy and fun all wrapped in one. We are already making plans to return...we would not change a single thing. I am so thankful for the owners for opening up their amazing home. There were 6 of us and there was plenty of room for more. The rental company was excellent also. The emails were timely, accurate and prepared us for everything we needed. I would highly recommended this place.

We had an awesome stay at Van Beek's Peak. This was my first Christmas away from home and coming into see it decorated for Christmas and that there was a Christmas tree decorated and ready for presents warmed my heart like you have no idea. It meant the world to me and my family.It was perfect.

This was the PERFECT house for our graduation celebration weekend. The drive up the mountain was beautiful, and made us feel like we were leaving civilization which is EXACTLY what we wanted to do after being in Boone's traffic! Work has been so busy that I haven't had a chance to slow down, so I forced myself to take a vacation, and this was the absolute perfect place to relax and take my mind off of everything. The cabin was everything as promised, and more! The view is breath-taking. I spent a good portion of my time on the deck reading and just staring off into the distance. As with all good vacations, leaving and returning home was the hardest part. Would love to come back and pick up where I left off. Thank you!

Our vacation was absolutely wonderful! This company has been outstanding to work with! They stayed in touch before during and after our stay to make sure we had driving instructions, to make sure we had everything we need when we arrived and to make sure we made it home safely afterwards. The cabin had so many personal touches that we felt right at home and still enjoyed our time even when the weather kept us in. We will DEFINITELY be renting from Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals again!!

We stayed here for a short weekend trip. My only regret is that we could not stay longer. This cabin had everything you could want and more! Plenty of room to spread out, while also having plenty of opportunities to spend time together, from watching tv in either of the two den areas, to playing the xbox, a competitive game of air hockey or just relaxing in the hot tub. I would love to go back for a week and stay in this cabin and never leave the entire stay. A very well stocked kitchen with everything you could possibly need to fix all the meals you want. We loved the secluded location and the breathtaking views. This cabin is truly a home away from home, so very tastefully decorated. We will definitely be back, hopefully in the summer and will be booking this cabin again. Thanks so much for opening up your home to us.

We had no trouble getting to the cabin and the view itself made it worth every penny. The location was perfect for us, right in the middle of Beech and Sugar Mtn and the hot tub was a godsend especially after spending the whole day on the slopes. Thank you for a great place

We had a great long weekend in the mountains. This house is great, wonderful setting, lots of space, great kitchen, and outdoor areas. We enjoyed relaxing on the porch and wandering through the quiet streets. We always love visiting Valle Crucis, Boone, and Blowing Rock. Can't wait to return!
Great Scenery And Accommodations

We stayed for a weekend with a group of friends expecting to go skiing. Although the weather didn't agree with our plans, we still had a great time enjoying the cabin scenery and great accommodations. We also made the short drive to the Banner Elk winery for a great wine tasting and live music. I would definitely recommend this cabin.

Gorgeous Cabin With Everything You Need

This is an absolutely gorgeous cabin stocked with everything you need. We had four teens with us who really appreciated their own space on the lower level. There were games, a TV, movies, a foosball table, their own kitchen and a hot tub. The kitchen upstairs is fully stocked. We made homemade pizzas and they even had a pizza pan and pizza cutter. We got 8 inches of beautiful snow so we all played in the snow and the road made for an awesome sledding hill (there were no cars). Our only problem was that due to the snow the road to the cabin was still impassable to our SUV with 4 wheel drive. A kindly neighbor with snow tires drove us to our cabin. The second day my husband, who is experienced in driving in snow, was able to get one of our SUVs up. I called the rental personnel several times and the were always very kind and helpful. We skied at near by Sugar Mountain and all had a great time. My kids are all beginners at skiing but fell in love with the sport. Overall, we had a wonderful mini vacation at this beautiful cabin. I would highly recommend it.
