Looking for a unique private riverfront retreat? This is it!
This unique cabin is located on a gated 30 acres at the waters edge on the South Fork of the New River.
From the moment you drive across the low-water bridge that leads to the cabin, you'll know you have found a little piece of paradise. River's Edge is tucked away in the woods on the river. It's wooded in the back and the front has a small lawn area/river beach with a campfire ring perfect for the late evenings by the water.
The cabin itself has a wraparound porch with charcoal grill, chairs and a picnic table on the front for eating outside. The hot tub is located around the far side of the cabin for extra privacy.
Step inside and you'll walk past two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The hallway opens up into a well appointed kitchen and open great room area with a romantic fireplace. River's Edge is equipped with cable TV service, DVD for entertainment and a washer/dryer unit. The great room includes a sleeper sofa. Each room has been tastefully decorated with modern furnishings and accessory's.
The master bedroom has a king bed and the second bedroom also offers a queen-size bed. A Queen sleeper sofa is also located in the great room.
This is a great property if you're looking to spend some time fishing, floating in the river or bicycling on Railroad Grade Road. Whether you're spending a weekend or a week, you won't want to go back home!
This home is not pet friendly. Thank you for not bringing pets into this home.
AWD or 4WD vehicles required in the winter months
Firewood may be added at the time of booking under "Additional Fees" after entering payment info or by reaching out to us more than a week in advance. You receive two wrapped bundles and a firestarter for $25/night.
Guests returning to Rivers Edge in Todd may receive a 10% discount, not to be combined with other discounts to rent.

Enjoyed every minute even got to stay extra day at half price. Would recommend to anyone. Would not recommend this place if addicted to your phone...not much cell phone service, but I felt peaceful without it.

We are a family of 4 and this house was the perfect size and the best location we could have asked for. The privacy was wonderful and the views were incredible. The tubing was so fun and close by. It's also just close enough to App State that it made our summer vacation fun and very convenient before dropping our daughter off for her second year of college. The staff was so friendly and super easy to deal with. We will visit this house again in the future.

This is the perfect spot on the river, lovely area! You don't even have to go anywhere, just hang out right at the beautiful little cabin! Perfect hide-away during the pandemic! We visit here again.

We had no problems at all with our stay. The cabin was very clean and had plenty of extra supplies and pillows/blankets. The view was perfect. I will be booking it again.

I hesitate to let other people know about this property because everyone will want to stay here! Check in was easy , property was beautiful! with privacy, excellent views and access to the river. The hot tub was so relaxing after tubing right to the front door! ..easy walk to Todd..a great and relaxing stay.

We really enjoyed the house. The kitchen had everything and the beds were comfortable. Great Wifi. The best part is that the wraparound deck is just 40 feet from the banks of the South Fork of the New River. The privacy is incredible. Locked gate to the property made it even better. Really enjoyed the firepit right down on the water. Very relaxing and beautiful spot. Enjoyed tubing the river with RiverGirl Fishing Company which is walking distance from house. Highly recommend! Will come back here again.

When we pulled into the driveway we instantly fell in love with this property. It was just secluded enough from the road and neighbors to feel very private. Very close to the river with fantastic views of the water and wildlife. Inside the the cabin was very quaint and had everything we needed. My boys had a wonderful time here and especially loved the hottub. We plan on renting this house again next year.

House was clean and beds comfortable. The wrap around deck was wonderful you can see the river and the view is amazing. There were a few stink bugs they were flying around may suggest getting the home sprayed for them other than that we had a great girls weekend.
STAYING BY THE NEW RIVER IN TODD

We spent several days in this cabin. We love to ride bikes along Railroad Grade Rd and got to do that some but not as much as we would like. Only one day out of 5 was good enough to be out riding and so that made our time a bit hard to say that we enjoyed each day. We always enjoy the High Country but wished for a bit less rain and the anxiety of watching the river rise as well. I would rent this place again tho'. It is sooo well equipped (kitchen) and the beds altho' a bit soft for my taste were comfortable. We did get to watch some people floating in the river and enjoyed that as well but the water was fairly high and not so warm.
PEACEFUL CABIN

Nicely furnished home and kitchen. Would have used the BBQ grill but it was not cleaned and involved more work than my vacation-self wanted to expend. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the river. The woods are so dense you can't see the road on the other side of the river, so it felt very private and secluded.

Cabin was very nice. No issues. Best stocked kitchen of any place ever rented. Very convenient and right on river. Very cool. Hot tub felt great.

I loved the stay there. The house is simple but just fine for getting away from it all. Only complaint I have is you have to take the trash to the dump and you have to take the linens off the beds before you leave.
