Nestled at an elevation of 4500 feet, on picturesque Sugar Mountain, this beautiful 4-bedroom home captures the charm and beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains. From the moment you arrive, you’ll be captivated by the stunning views of Grandfather Mountain from inside the home, as well as from the two expansive decks.
The main living area features a cozy gas fireplace, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for family and friends to gather. The open floor plan seamlessly connects the living room to a modern kitchen and dining area, making it ideal for both entertaining and everyday living. There is ample seating at the large dining table, plus extra seats at the island. The main floor deck can be accessed from the dining room, featuring breathtaking mountain views, and amazing sunrises over Grandfather Mountain.
After dark, light up the gas fire table, and enjoy clear, high altitude skies, perfect for stargazing. The sauna is accessed from the main floor deck, where you can relax and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of dry heat. A perfect way to wind down after an exhilarating day skiing, snowboarding, biking or hiking!
There are two bedrooms on the main level, one furnished with a queen size bed, the other with a full size. These bedrooms share a hallway bathroom. The spacious master suite is located upstairs and features a king bed, a TV, and ensuite bathroom with double vanities, a soaking tub, and tiled shower.
The lower level of the home, which connects to the main floor by a spiral staircase, features an additional bedroom with a full and twin bed. There is a game room, complete with a ping-pong table, TV, a card table, as well as a kitchenette, and wood burning stove. This level has its own private deck, accessed from the game room, which features comfortable outdoor seating. Enjoy your morning coffee or an evening glass of wine while taking in the panoramic views that make this location truly special.
Skip the hassle of crowded ski area parking! Located directly on the Sugar Mountain Shuttle loop, simply step to the end of the lower driveway and cross the street. The shuttle stops right there, at the corner of Sky Leaf Dr. and Shelter Rock Cir. You’ll be at the ski lodge in minutes! - CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 30+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 15-29 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 14 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
- We are pet friendly! We welcome two mature well trained dogs for your stay! Pet rent is $25+tax per night.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided
- The main roads are plowed in winter, but 4WD or AWD vehicles are required November-March, and chains may also be necessary to access all properties in winter months.
- Check in is after 4pm and Check out is by 10am EST
- Home has paved parking with space for six standard vehicles.
- Firewood for the outdoor fire pit or downstairs wood stove may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax.
- Towels and linens will be provided for you.
- This property has three exterior security cameras. #1 is on the front of the garage facing the driveway. #2 is on the side of the garage facing the front door of the home. #3 is on the upper back deck facing the lower driveway. No camera is pointed toward the interior of the home or common gathering areas.
