You'll also find a spacious master suite with King bed and a 26" HDTV, and private bathroom with a beautifully tiled shower. - CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.<br />
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.<br />

Had a great Labor Day weekend. Great location 10-15 minutes to Boone and Blowing Rock. Nice house with 3 bedrooms and we took 2 dogs. Would definitely come back. 10 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway and a nice hike in Moses Cone Park
WONDERFUL TIME

Appalachian Retreat caught our eye because of the beautiful pictures on the Blue Ridge Rentals site. However, when we got to the property, it was even more beautiful than the pictures! It was very well maintained and had so many comforts. The woodwork, decorations and furniture are stunning. The amenities and all that is included in the house added to our trip. We felt that the owners had really taken care in making it nice for us and all renters. It was warm and inviting; spacious, yet cozy and comfortable. It's placed perfectly on the mountain allowing for privacy and ease for venturing out to see the beautiful area. Thank you for such a wonderful time!

We had an amazing time. This was our first time vacationing in North Carolina and the cabin was perfect for our family. You guys really thought of everything - including a baby gate, which was unexpected but came in handy. We are hoping to make it back to the Blowing Rock area during a different season to enjoy other activities. Thank you!

A wonderful and restful trip, we cant wait to visit again soon! We had everything we needed and had WAY more space than anticipated from the photos. We were able to take a quick trip to the grocery store to pick up all the necessary items for grilling, watching football, movie and game nights. We literally only left the cabin to check out!! It was the best weekend getaway EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We stayed from Sept.4 thru Sept 7 at Appalachian Retreat and we loved it. Beautiful great views, had a hot tub. We will stay again if we come back to Boone. Would recommend to everyone!!!

Thank you for allowing our family to call Appalachian Retreat home for the weekends in January and February. We have enjoyed the 2014 Ski Season in Blowing Rock! Our 3 boys (4, 6, & 8 years) thoroughly enjoyed the foosball table, hot tub, and surrounding hills to explore. Your home is cozy, rustic and elegant, and served as our home base while skiing at App! We will highly recommend Appalachian Retreat to friends. Leaving with fond memories!
VERY "HOME LIKE" FEEL

Our family had a wonderful stay- the home was comfortable and had everything we needed....very "home like" feel. It was a plus being in walking distance to skiing & snowboarding. We started our New Year here. Quiet, relaxing, and even had fireworks down at the ski resort which we watched from right here. Our sons enjoyed hiking in the area as well. Happy New Year!

We had a wonderful time here on the mountain. We were so impressed with this house and how it made us feel so welcome and comfortable. We are so grateful and blessed. God is so good! Enjoyed skiing and tubing and shopping. We will be coming back to stay again- thank you for giving such a great little cabin to live in for a while and for helping us make great memories.
