Located on a quiet cul-de-sac, Bear Lodge is only 1.4 miles from either Bryce Resort&#39;s Ski/Bike Lodge or the Basye Community Store, Burn Barrel tavern, Pale Fire Brewing Company, and Smiley&#39;s Ice Cream &amp; Mini Golf.&nbsp;<br />

FEATURES &amp; AMENITIES:<br />
Uncommon in the mountains, access to the main entry is only one step up from the generous driveway that easily accommodates 3-4 vehicles. Enter the screened porch to access the entry door.&nbsp; Here, the foyer opens to a great room with huge vaulted ceiling, east and southeast-facing walls of windows, and a partially covered/screened, partially open air deck with seating area, outdoor dining, high top propane fire table, and gas grill. The large living area includes two comfy reclining chairs, a cozy sectional couch, a wood-burning fireplace, huge ceiling fan, and large Smart TV mounted above the mantle.&nbsp; Watch your favorite TV shows and movies with your preferred streaming providers.&nbsp; The kitchen and dining area are adjacent to the great room.&nbsp; The kitchen includes new stainless steel appliances (fridge/freezer, range, microwave, dishwasher, Instapot), granite waterfall countertops, basic cookware, tableware, drip coffee maker (please bring your favorite coffee), and a Keurig coffee maker (K-cups provided).&nbsp; The dining area accommodates six at the family-style table, with additional seating for two at the kitchen bar. Also on the main floor are two bedrooms (one with king bed, one with full bed), both with ceiling fans, and a full bathroom in the hallway.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br />

Upstairs features a loft seating/reading/conversation nook with wonderful views of Bryce Mountain. The loft includes two lounge-style chairs with foot rests, a futon, bookshelves with books, puzzles, and games, and a large touch-screen game table that will captivate younger kids for hours!&nbsp; The futon folds down as extra sleeping capacity when needed.&nbsp; Take the short hallway from the loft to the spacious loft bedroom suite with king bed, ceilling fan, and en suite full bathroom.&nbsp; BONUS: for guests with little kiddos, make sure they find the secret kid&#39;s fort hidden within the loft suite (if you can pull them away from the loft game table)!&nbsp;&nbsp;<br />

The lowest level (access from the main floor through the door under the stairs) is a huge recreation room with another full living area including a plush sectional sofa, large flat screen TV, and credenza with electric fireplace for cozy ambiance during quiet movie nights.&nbsp; Adjacent to the living area is a kitchenette with wet bar (seats two) and full size stainless steel fridge -- a few short steps away from the professional-style poker table with high-top seating for five.&nbsp; Remove the poker table top to reveal a regular game table perfect for card games, board games, and puzzle building.&nbsp; Step out either large sliding glass door onto the stone walkway leading to the hot tub tucked away and concealed on the side of the house.&nbsp; The lower level also features a bonus room with a queen-over-queen bunk bed, ceiling fan, and large smart TV, a full bathroom with walk-in shower, and a laundry room with full-size washer &amp; dryer.<br />

Bear Lodge is equipped with bedding (pillows, bedspreads, blankets), fresh bed linens, one towel set per max occupants, one travel-size bar soap per max occupants, two rolls toilet paper per bathroom, four dishwasher tabs, five trash bags, one bath trash bag per bathroom, one paper towel roll, two kitchen dish towels, one travel-size dish soap, and one scrubby pad.&nbsp; We encourage guests with large groups, or who are staying several nights, or who are heavy users of consumable supplies to bring extra supplies or purchase them at the local Basye Community Store.&nbsp;<br />

WiFi internet runs at 100+mbps, which is sufficient for working, video conferencing, streaming, and light gaming.<br />
<br />
**This is a self-check-in property.&nbsp; Guests will receive Check-in Instructions seven days prior to the arrival date, or immediately if booking within seven days.&nbsp; Check-in reminders are sent the day before check-in.&nbsp; The Check-in Instructions include the property address, driving directions, a unique Key Code, WiFi log-in credentials, and other important preparatory information.&nbsp; <strong>Please read them carefully!</strong><br />

Guests are advised that this property may be difficult to access during winter storm events.&nbsp; We highly recommend only all-wheel or four-wheel drive vehicles when winter weather threatens.<br />

The owner provides Duraflame logs for the fireplace.&nbsp; <strong>Please burn only Duraflame logs - no firewood please.</strong>&nbsp; Guests may purchase additional Duraflame logs at the Basye Community Store once provided logs are consumed.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br />

Guests have unlimited access to the Bryce Mountain Escapes pool at our check-in office (2565 Orkney Grade, Mount Jackson, VA 22842), which is about 2.3 miles from Bear Lodge.&nbsp; It&rsquo;s open 9am-5pm, Monday through Saturday between Memorial Day and Labor Day.&nbsp; IMPORTANT:&nbsp; Bryce Resort&#39;s pool (Bryce Landing) is member-only; it is not available for guest or public use.<br />
<br />
Quiet hours after 10:00pm and before 8:00am are strongly enforced by the local security and police.<br />
