There are plenty of things to do when you stay at Shady Ridge Lodge! The cabin is less than fifteen minutes from Maggie Valley, a Smoky Mountain destination town thats home to a handful of dining and shopping options, and with Cherokee only forty minutes away, you can spend the day exploring Native American culture or spend an evening catching a show at Harrahs Casino Resort. Get outdoors and take a journey on the Blue Ridge Parkway (access 37 minutes down the road) to discover mountain hiking trails and spectacular waterfalls, walk the trail at Lake Junaluska (12 minutes down the road), or, in the winter go skiing and snowboarding at Cataloochee Ski Area (26 minutes away)! Head over for a tour at the Biltmore Estate (36 minutes). The ride to Asheville is smooth sailing with easy, year-round highway access. Great location to I-40 corridor. This Asheville cabin is located in Waynesville and is approximately 34 minutes to downtown Asheville, 2,671ft above sea level.

Important Property Notes
4WD/AWD Recommended in Winter
During the winter months and inclement weather, a 4WD/AWD vehicle is recommended to access this property. Please ensure your vehicle has sufficient clearance (i.e. SUV, Truck, or raised sedan). Low-clearance vehicles with 4WD/AWD are not recommended. For the extra effort, however, you are rewarded with seclusion, beauty, and a lot of fun just getting there!
There is a local Sawmill nearby so please be aware you may hear some distant noise during the daytime.
Firewood is not provided for guest use. If you plan on using the wood-burning amenities, please purchase wood locally upon arrival.

Please note that this propertys Non-Refundable Period is 30 days prior to arrival. If your reservation is made within this period, it will be non-refundable from the time of booking.
