The cabin is less than fifteen minutes from Maggie Valley, a Smoky Mountain destination town that’s home to a handful of dining and shopping options, and with Cherokee only forty minutes away, you can spend the day exploring Native American culture or spend an evening catching a show at Harrah’s Casino Resort. Get outdoors and take a journey on the Blue Ridge Parkway (access 37 minutes down the road) to discover mountain hiking trails and spectacular waterfalls, walk the trail at Lake Junaluska (12 minutes down the road), or, in the winter go skiing and snowboarding at Cataloochee Ski Area (26 minutes away)! Head over for a tour at the Biltmore Estate (36 minutes). The ride to Asheville is smooth sailing with easy, year-round highway access. Great location to I-40 corridor. This Asheville cabin is located in Waynesville and is approximately 34 minutes to downtown Asheville, 2,671ft above sea level. Important Property Notes • 4WD/AWD Recommended in Winter During the winter months and inclement weather, a 4WD/AWD vehicle is recommended to access this property. Please ensure your vehicle has sufficient clearance (i.e. SUV, Truck, or raised sedan). Low-clearance vehicles with 4WD/AWD are not recommended. For the extra effort, however, you are rewarded with seclusion, beauty, and a lot of fun just getting there! • There is a local Sawmill nearby so please be aware you may hear some distant noise during the daytime. • Firewood is not provided for guest use. If you plan on using the indoor fireplace, you'll need to bring firewood with you. • Travel Insurance Recommended During the winter months we ask you to please consider CSA Travel Insurance to protect your vacation investment from potential winter weather events that could prevent access to the home.
