Hickory Nut Gorge, which includes Chimney Rock State Park and Lake Lure, is a summer recreation wonderland that's only 15 minutes away. A beautiful scenic drive along the Broad River takes you to Interstate 40 and the destination town of Black Mountain (25 min.). Downtown Asheville, offering celebrated culinary and entertainment scenes, is less than an hour away, perfect for an evening out! If you're visiting in an electric car rest assured - you can charge your electric vehicle for free at the house with a Level 2 EV charger with universal J1772 connector and 48 Amps (11.5 kW) charging capacity. This Asheville vacation rental is located in Black Mountain and is approximately 38 minutes to downtown Asheville, 2,519ft above sea level.

Often the best views in WNC are the hardest to get to. The property you are staying at requires a 4WD or AWD vehicle to access year-round due to the steep driveway. Please ensure that your vehicle is properly equipped and the 4WD/AWD feature is engaged before attempting to access the property. Vehicles that are not equipped with this feature may incur service charges for towing if they get stuck, or for repairs to the driveway necessitated by a 2WD vehicle spinning for traction. Please ensure your vehicle has sufficient clearance as well (i.e. SUV, Truck, or raised sedan). Low-clearance vehicles with 4WD/AWD are not recommended. For the extra effort, however, you are rewarded with seclusion, beauty, and a lot of fun just getting there!
