Set within the historic former Norshor Building (now referred to as the Cascade Cornerstone Building), the apartment was rebuilt in 2016 and is designed for longer stays, with a 4-night minimum. Its central placement near downtown and the harbor supports a stay where you can spend time in town without relying on a car for every errand.

The main living area is arranged as an open plan with a kitchen, dining space, and living room. The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances and includes dishes, pots, and flatware, along with a dishwasher, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. For downtime, the living room includes a large flat-screen TV with satellite, and internet access is provided for staying connected.

Sleeping accommodations include two bedrooms, each furnished with a queen bed, for a total occupancy of up to four guests. The bathroom has a shower/tub combination. A washer and dryer are available in a common area of the building.

Outdoor space includes a balcony (furniture may be seasonal) and the unit offers Lake Superior views. Safety features include a smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, and fire extinguisher. The living area is open and inviting with a spacious kitchen with stainless steel appliances, dining room, and living room. The apartment features all of the amenities you need to make this place your home. A large flat-screen TV with satellite is great for a movie night after a day of hiking and exploring the North Shore. You will also be able to stay connected with Wi-Fi service. The sitting area and balcony allow you to enjoy the scenic views of Lake Superior and the Grand Marais Harbor. All new beds and furnishings top off this immaculate apartment. With two spacious bedrooms, this apartment can accommodate up to 4 guests. Comfortable queen size beds are in each bedroom, as well as enough space for you to unpack and organize your things, just like if you were at home! And, if you don't bring enough clothes along, we have a washer and dryer in the common area. Security System Notice: Guests should be aware that there are several exterior cameras around the Cascade Cornerstone building. These cameras are located in the driveway area, alongside the north side of the building, and at the front (south) entrance of the building. There are no cameras that can see inside the apartment or the balcony. None of the cameras can record sound. These are for security purposes only. Due to COVID-19 we no longer provide linens for properties. This includes sheets, blankets, throw blankets, pillow sheets (pillows still provided), bathroom towels, and kitchen towels.
