Thorson’s Landing is a three-bedroom home on Minnesota’s North Shore of Lake Superior, located near Silver Bay. The house sleeps up to six guests and is set up for both shared time and quiet breaks, with lake views featured throughout the stay. Pets are welcome with a two-pet maximum.

On the main level, the primary living area includes a wood-burning fireplace and direct access to a lake-facing deck. The kitchen is equipped for meal prep with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and provided dishes, pots, and flatware; there is no dishwasher. Meals can be enjoyed at the dining table, and the open layout keeps the kitchen, dining, and living spaces connected.

For additional indoor space, a lower-level bonus living room offers a television, a game table, and board games and puzzles. The home also includes internet access, a surround sound system, and a radio/stereo/Bluetooth speaker.

All three bedrooms are on the upper level: one with a queen bed, one with a queen and a twin, and one with a king and a twin. Two bathrooms serve the home; the main-level bath includes a shower, washer/dryer, and sauna, while the upper-level bath has a shower/tub.

The living has a wood-burning fireplace and a walkout to the lake-facing deck. The kitchen has granite countertops and stainless appliances. The only thing missing is a dishwasher. Enjoy your home-cooked meals at the home's dining room table, with room for everyone! The open-layout living space allows groups to spend precious vacation moments together, no matter what they are doing. But, should you want a little separation, there is a bonus living room on the lower level. This living room has a television, a game table, and a variety of board games to play during your stay. All three bedrooms are located on the upper level of the home. Two of the three bedrooms have Lake Superior views and one has a lake-facing balcony. Each bedroom has plenty of space and room to unpack and unwind during your stay. You'll notice there are more beds than the occupancy allows- this is to give families flexibility on where everyone sleeps, allowing kids to sleep in the same room as parents if they are more comfortable there. The maximum occupancy is six guests. Two bathrooms complete the inside of the home- one of which has a washer/dryer. However, outside the home is the real pride and joy of Thorson's Landing. The lake-facing deck and balcony are great for taking in the beauty of Lake Superior while you sip on a cup of coffee or even enjoy a summertime BBQ. You can also take a stroll down to the Lake Superior Shoreline. Thorson's Landing has one of the largest shorelines along the North Shore. You have over 800 feet of combination rock and sandy shoreline to enjoy. There's so much space and room to hunt for agates (which we hear are plentiful!), that you could easily spend your entire vacation exploring the shoreline! The shoreline area also has a seating area. Thorson's Landing is the perfect vacation destination for someone looking for some peace and quiet on a beautiful stretch of Lake Superior's shoreline. You simply cannot beat the views or the beach at this home! Lake Access Note: Access to the shoreline is down a steep gravel road. No cars are allowed so you will need to walk up and down. There are no visible neighbors from the home and only a couple of houses visible from the shoreline area. The shoreline area is private to the home, not public. You will check in to your property directly, and will not need to interact with anyone. If you need anything during your stay please reach out to our office during regular business hours. We also offer an after-hours emergency phone line you can use in the event of after-hours maintenance issues which can be found in your check-in details.

Pet Policy: Pets are allowed at some homes with an additional pet fee. Not all homes are pet-friendly, please read the description of the property you are interested in to see if the home is pet-friendly. If it's not, there will not be a mention of pets anywhere on the property description. The maximum number of pets allowed in the home is 2. Pet owners must: pick up droppings, keep pet leashed when outside, keep the pet off of furniture and bedding, and must kennel the pet if the pet is left alone in the home. Guests staying in townhomes and condos may not leave pets unattended. Failure to follow the pet policy will result in a $250 fine charged to the card used to make your final payment. Parties found with pets without prior approval will be asked to leave immediately without a refund and will pay a $250 cleaning fee.
