This small, over-garage A-frame cabin met all of our needs, which were a comfortable place to stay with the ability to cook breakfast while spending all day in the parks. The queen size bed was comfortable, and the other reviews were right: because there are only two windows on the east and west sides, the cabin is a bit dark. But we did not care because it was only for breakfast and sleeping. We had a bit of a struggle with the AC, as we couldn't figure out how to turn it on, and once we did, we couldn't adjust the temp and were afraid to turn it off because we worried that we couldn't turn it on again. (And yes, AC was necessary...it was getting into the 80s during the day, and the apartment was stuffy and hot when we first arrived, and the bedroom was still hot every night when we got back even with the AC running.) We ended up spending our awake time in the apt in the bedroom instead of the living area because of the temperature difference between the rooms. But again, we did not care because this was simply the home base to explore the park. It was about 20 min from the house to the west entrance. Also the google maps app took us right to the house, so the driving directions + the app worked out great for us.

We had a great time here. The kitchen and washer/dryer access were super convenient. The drive to West Yellowstone and the park was easy each morning. One thing to keep in mind is if you are tall, the sloped ceilings in some parts of the cabin might be a slight challenge. The lake and mountains were beautiful!
