You will feel away from it all, but not isolated. A coffee shop, pub, and winery are a mere four minutes away by car. The simple cedar home features large picture windows and a huge tiered deck. Kick back and watch the deer and wild turkey graze in the mornings, or the stunning sunsets stretch over the water at night. Traditional features intersperse with modern, eclectic furnishings, providing plenty of opportunity to find your own cozy nook. Curl up on the sun porch, snooze by a fire in the Ben Franklin room, or watch bald eagles hunt over the pond from the back porch. When it’s time to gather, the large rectory table in the Great Room or expansive teak block table on the front deck are perfect for dining. The Bluff House comfortably accommodates one or two families with up to 8 children (with an additional alcove bedroom for an extra friend/ teenager/ babysitter). Enter the house through the mud room where you’ll find lots of shoe cubbies and bathroom with extra large shower. Continue through the entry hallway to the ‘open plan’ Great Room and marble kitchen with island, allowing the whole family to hang out together while meals are prepared. A cozy sun room, ‘formal’ den with a Ben Franklin wood stove and piano, and a large bedroom with King bed and en suite bath complete the ground level. The second floor has a spacious living room with TV, a bathroom, and large bedroom with King bed. There is a separate, curtained alcove with a double bed and lounge space. Children will go crazy when they discover the third floor hideaway: an attic bunk room with eight twin-sized beds (four curtained cubbies and four trundles). All beds in the home feature high-end, top quality mattresses and 100% long-staple Pima cotton sheets (like once-upon-a-time at grandma’s!). Other things to note Our property is adjacent to a Land Trust preserve that offers lovely trails for short hikes or mountain bike rides. Please do not access our pond or any of the outbuildings on our property (barn, machine shed, cottage) as these are presently unsafe.
