We enjoyed our family getaway! Good points: house is close to beach, with private beach access, from upstairs can see the view, comfortable beds, pet friendly, and quick response if needed. Cons: really none but I would recommend checking the dishes, pans to make sure they are clean. Overall would recommend this house!

My husband and I spent two wonderful weeks in March at Balvenie! Everything about our stay was a joy! The house itself has everything one could need all neatly organized. The location is terrific including a beautiful view of the ocean. Bald Head Island Services is an exceptional agency with attention to every detail and a dedication to client satisfaction!

We've been coming to BHI for over 16 years. We've stayed in many houses over the years. We really enjoyed staying here. The home was a perfect size for our small family. We loved sitting on the top porch looking at the ocean daily. The house had everything we needed. It was clean upon arrival and comfortable. We will definitely rent this lovely home again.
Relaxing Weekend

We loved staying at Balvenie! Sitting on the deck to watch the sunset in the evening, the stars at night and enjoy the peacefulness with a cup of coffee in the morning was a wonderful way to relax. The weather was beautiful to spend time on the beach as well.

Everything with the house was extremely clean and well cared for. The location was great, really close to the beach and a short drive to the grocery store. I would definitely stay here again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

We had a mother daughter weekend at Bald Head Island with our 10 year old girls and loved The Balvenie! The house was spotless when we arrived and had everything we would want. The trundle twin bed was perfect for the girls and plenty of bathrooms gave everyone lots of private space. The upstairs kitchen, dining area and sitting area were perfect for our evenings at home and the location was a perfect place from which to launch all our bike and golf cart adventures. The beautiful view from the upstairs deck was perfect for coffee and reading in the early morning and the girls loved the hammock in the screened in porch. The convenient beach access quickly led to the quiet and large beach. BHI services was easy to work with when we had to reschedule our visit due to COVID and quickly answered any questions we had leading up to our trip. We loved every part of our weekend and will definitely be back!

My wife and I have never stayed at Balvenie before. An hour after checking-in, we resolved to never stay anywhere else on the island when we come back to BHI next year! This property was everything we were looking for and even some things we didn't know we were looking for. Location is convenient to best beaches and the Market. Extra privacy is offered with the surrounding cedars, live oak and palms. Views were awesome on the second story. House was very clean, well-equipped and laid-out. Excellent choice of movies and books. Golf cart, beach chairs, towels and other amenities were all in excellent shape. Grill and all kitchen tools were very easy to use. It's clear that BHI Services and the owner care about their renters. We were provided a very pleasant and professional experience. This was a first-class vacation and how I would recommend "doing Bald Head Island." We spent afternoons at the beach, evenings cooking dinner at the house, mornings reading and driving around the island. Please contact us in the future with promotions and other announcements about the property. We are willing to commit to at least 6 nights per year at Balvenie and are willing to book with as far advance as possible.

My family and I had a wonderful last minute getaway . It was so nice to relax and enjoy the sea air and feel normal, not being cooped up in the house all day . Balvenie is a great house , lovely location right by the beach. Thank you for a lovely time .

Another Amazing Experience

This was our second time this year staying at Balvenie. We chose this location because we knew the quality of the house and the location is great. Very clean and well equipped with all the things one would need for a "home away from home". We prepared two great evening meals at Balvenie and needed nothing due to the well equipped kitchen and grill. The accommodations had everything we needed...from a great bed to beach chairs, it was all there. The view from the deck at sunset and while star gazing at night was breathtaking. Furthermore, Brandy and the staff at BHI Services are awesome. I highly recommend Balvenie to anyone staying at BHI and BHI Services to arrange your stay on the island. See you in the spring. Great location and rooms clean and neat. Kitchen is very well stocked. The bathrooms are up to date and the water pressure is wonderful. Loved the porches too. Golf cart was new and the garage was full or all the things you would need for the beach. Hope to stay again soon!
