Walk into Poseidon and turn left: the indoor pool is right there, 10 feet wide and 20 feet long, heated year-round and enclosed so the weather outside stops being part of the conversation. The Heart of the Home

The ground floor sets the tone. The game room runs the full footprint: poker table, pool table, shuffleboard, vintage Multicade arcade, a bar area with two Smart TVs and a live sports ticker for game days. Through the doors at the far end, the indoor pool. The setup works whether it is 85 degrees outside or the middle of February; the pool area connects directly to the enclosed backyard courtyard, so the boundary between inside and outside stays open when the weather allows.

Ride the elevator or take the stairs to the second floor and the scale shifts to the kitchen. Cathedral ceilings, an open-concept chef's kitchen running into the dining and living areas. Two refrigerators, two ovens, two dishwashers; this kitchen is built for the group that actually cooks. A center island with bar-counter seating handles the overflow from the main dining table, with two bistro-style tables catching the rest of the crowd. A dedicated coffee station keeps the morning from bottlenecking at the counter. The living area has a gas fireplace, Smart TV, and a whole-house sound system that reaches every room.

• Get on the water: Lake Harmony Village, watersports rentals, and the marina are about 1.3 miles away (4-minute drive); kayaks, paddleboards, pontoon boats by the hour. When the Lake Harmony Estates beach is open (Memorial Day through Labor Day), it is a short walk from the house.
• Indoor backup plan: H2OOooh! Indoor Waterpark is a 5-minute drive (1.6 miles); stays open year-round and is the reliable fallback when the weather does not cooperate.
• Golf: Split Rock Golf Club and Sunset Green Restaurant are 1.3 miles away; good for the group that wants a half-day on the course without much of a drive.
• Ski or snowboard: Big Boulder Ski Resort is an 8-minute drive (3.1 miles); close enough to ski the morning and be back in the pool by early afternoon.
