Remember as a child when you could just call "king's X" or "time out" and bring the action of the moment to a halt? Rock Pool Gardens is created with the idea that now, more than ever, we need a "pause button" in our hectic lives. For that reason, we are committed to making Rock Pool Gardens a memorable getaway for those who would take time to play, to nurture themselves or to simply reflect on the flow of their lives.

Our guest house offers 2 spacious two-room suites in the renowned artist community of Dixon, located midway between Santa Fe and Taos. For larger groups or families, the option exists to rent the complete guest house as a unit.

The spa facilities (included with the rental) feature a beautiful, enclosed, hand-built, heated rock swimming pool and a 4-person spa nestled under the trees in a secluded area a few steps from the poolroom. Scattered about the property are a variety of gardens with peaceful sitting areas and ponds. Unlimited hiking exists in beautiful, rolling hills right off the back of the property!

$560/week for 2 people per suite
$15/night each additional person $10/night for children under 12; no charge 5 and under
Continental Breakfast for first 2 nights
$150/night flat rate for full guesthouse up to 9 people (breakfast not included)

Deposits: 50% Deposit of total amount due to reserve your space

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made 10 days in advance for full refund $25 Cancellation fee

The charming Patio Suite has one bedroom with a queen bed, and a Mexican tile bathroom with shower. The large vaulted-ceiling second room has a combination of dining area, living room and full kitchen (with dishwasher and washer/dryer.) It also contains a comfortable queen size sleeper sofa and a TV/VCR. This suite opens onto a private patio, as well as two patios shared with the garden suite.

The sunny Garden Suite, which is handicap accessible, features a lovely bedroom with faux decor, ceramic tile floor, queen size brass bed, a sitting area, and a private entrance. The second room is a large vaulted-ceiling area with wood floor, a sitting area, a southwestern style queen bed, a single bed sleeper sofa, and kitchenette with dining area. Each room has separate access to the lovely tiled bathroom with shower. This room also has a private entry way off a garden patio with a pond, BBQ area, and a beautiful view of the surrounding hills.

Property Activities

A popular landmark in Dixon is the award-winning La Chiripada Winery, which offers daily wine tastings in its own gallery setting. Surrounding Indian ruins and pueblos offer traditional dances throughout the year. For the sports-minded, the nearby Rio Grande provides excellent fishing, rafting and kayaking, while 7 excellent ski areas are within 1/2 to 1 1/2 hours from Dixon. Good cross-country skiing is less than an hour away.
