Sugar Beach #418
Wonderful place to vacation. Nicely appointed condo and best view of ocean and beach. A+ Great Staff and Pool and BBQ grills are a nice touch. Great location to everything on Maui!


Great location and view.
This was our first time to Maui, and we wanted an ocean view condo. This condo was newly remodeled and perfect for us. Centrally located to anywhere on the island. We covered almost the whole island in the 10 days we were there. It was very windy, but there were trade winds while we were there, so not sure if that was normal. The cafe at the resort is phenomenal. Ate there three times and every time was awesome! The pool is great with ocean views. The ocean was too murky for me to get into on this beach due to the winds, but again not sure if that is normal or not. I thought it was very windy on every beach we went to (Big Beach, Makena, Po'olenalena, and even Beach III). We would stay here again in a heartbeat--nothing is better than waking up to a great view of the ocean. My only complaint would be that we found the couch to be uncomfortable, but bearable.


Good Location
This was my husband and I's first time to Maui, so we were unsure of the areas when booking a condo. The location of this condo in North Kihei was excellent as it was very central to everything. We toured the whole island during the week we were there and were very pleased with the condo.


peaceful and relaxing
Enjoyed it here very much we spent time at Sugar Beach in the past and loved it. We were here for a Birthday party and enjoyed it very much. The accommodations are good the condo has everything you need for the most part and the beach is quite, I like that it is not a "resort" type so not a lot of people crowding the beach. You can see turtles and whales right from the beach or your room with an awesome view. They have all you need to rent snorkel gear, paddle boards, boogie boards and will help with any excursions you may like to plan. We relaxed more this trip out and I'm glad we did.


Our home away from home !!!
Sugar Beach, our home away from home has provided us many wonderful stays in both the Plantation and Mill buildings. We are most pleased with the attention and care provided by ali'i Resorts from our check-in greeting, the follow-up call to the sad day of check-out. The location on 5 mile sugar Beach is the best.


Renovated Unit
Sugar Beach is a great spot - central location and a beautiful beach steps away. This particular unit has been renovated - updated kitchen and bath are nice and well equipped. Nice views of the ocean from lanai although sunset is obscured when we were there (May).


Amazing rental condo that guarnteed an amazing vacation!
This was our third trip to Maui and our third stay in #418 at Sugar Beach. We continue to return to this condo because it offers every conveinence and comfort. The condo is beautifully updated and very clean. It has a king size bed, a compact washer/dry, and a huge shower. The location is phenomenal - conveinient to everything and on a gorgeous beach. The lanai was a wonderful way to enjoy the beautiful weather, waves right outside the doors, and amazing sunsets. The alii Resorts personnel was prompt, friendly, and available for any of our needs. We received phone messages from Kai (one of the alii staff) to ensure our comfort. The only improvement I would ask is to provide blinds/shutters in the bedroom. The thin, light colored curtains allowed a great deal of light in, causing us to awaken at 530-6 a.m. each day. Most days we needed to be up that early, but it would have been nice to sleep in a few times. We will definitely return to Maui, to Sugar Beach, and to #418. Thanks, Alii Resorts!


Great time on Maui
Great location. Easy to get to different parts of the isle. Close to golfing, resturants.
If you love the ocean, you'll love Sugar Beach Resort, #418.
We were met at the unit by an all'i Resort representative. The unit was very clean and had all the amenities anyone would want. The ocean view each day was wonderful and why we keep returning to Sugar Beach Resort.


Had an amazing view!
Had a wonderful time in condo #418. Had lots of amenities that felt like home. Love the beach and pool area is large and always had a chair no problem. The location is perfect and close to everything you need. The only thing I want to mention is the struggle with those screen doors. They always came off track and got stuck. Other than that it was wonderful and wil highly recommend this place as well as others you have to offer. We will be back!


Beautiful and very well maintained!!!
Stayed at Sugar Beach years ago with small kids..always knew I would come back to this resort one day..Just my husband and myself this time and it was really nice.. ocean view was my one must when booking and we got it.. unit 418 served us well ..could have used a few more towels but other than that we were quite comfortable..used the barbque several times... the pool every day(pool needs umbrellas)had the pool to myself lots... there was always people working on the grounds, the pool, hot tub well looked after and it shows.. would come back to Sugar Beach anytime!!!


I couldn't have asked for better
Magnificent view from our #418 condo, very comfortable bed, super clean and totally equipped with everything you'll need. The condo is great, the hotel just Ok, good value for what you pay. Amazing sunset and great walk beach. Location is good.


Honeymoon in Maui
Our flight came in after the office closed, so the staff left a key box that we could get into our suite. The suite was well appointed with all amenities that you would find at home, including an iron and ironing board, kitchen dishes, cups, mixing bowls, and cutlery, etc. Suite was clean and in a convenient location to access other parts of the island easily. When called, staff was very friendly and accommodating...something I wish was found worldwide. As a place to stay for a honeymoon or just a vacation, I consider this place excellent. Mahalo nui loa to the owners who have made their home available and welcoming. Ps - the Hula girl clock in the kitchen needs replacing...unless it's meant to be on the same time permanently. (battery was new). Would definitely stay here again.


We will be back and will use ali'i to book our vacation again!
Overall we had excellent service from ali'i resorts! Terri was wonderful from the start of the booking process to the end. Susan came and checked us in and even came by the next day with beach chairs. Both were incredibly friendly! The unit had a great location and was very clean. One of two concerns was the ceiling which looks a bit like it has black mold, but may be dust accumulation from the vent and fan in the bedroom. I think that is something that should be addressed by the owner. Also, the bathtub does not drain during a shower. We have already recommended ali'i Resorts to several friends and our family who live in Kula, hi and California. We will be back next year and will book again through ali'i. Home in Paradise
This unit was absolutely wonderful from decor to kitchen utensils to hangars in closet. We felt very at home in this condo. We hope to return next year.
