Everything about this sweet cottage was dreamy...bedrooms are roomy especially master, enough room to "work" if needed but a true retreat. Beds are 10 out of 5 stars. Everyone slept well super comfortable. Well stocked home, ice maker was broken upon arrival but the office staff kept us stocked on the regular and we never went without. Decor was perfectly salty and subtle, just the right mix, made you feel on vacation without going too far on the "beach theme". This house is completely perfect for a small family or couples getaway, my 3 kids are grown and it worked very well for adults or kids, crofter held overflow in comfort and privacy. We would go back tomorrow or stay for the rest of our lives. Stay at this cottage, its dreamy.

We were very happy with Dreamaway Cottage. It was the perfect size for a family of 5. I appreciated that the house had two golf carts available for use with the rental. We liked to grill and sit on the the back deck. The house was located the East end of the island which was much more quiet but still close to all main areas. We would return to Bald Head Island and stay at Dreamaway Cottage.

Beautiful home, it had everything we needed- super comfortable, beautifully decorated and excellent service from island services. We just had very windy and cold temperatures while we were there, nothing that the house could have changed but since the house was lovely we were happy to spend time inside.

We just returned from a 5 day winter trip to BHI. This was our first time staying at this house and it was lovely. Very nicely kept and had all the amenities we needed. I will say we lost sleep due to the "Mario Cart Marathons" on the WII that the owners provided, but had a lot of fun doing that. We had one issue with a flat tire on a golf cart but the management company was extremely responsive in getting this fixed for us and even returned the cart to the house. Would highly recommend both this house and Bald Head Island Services!!

Dreamaway Cottage was perfect for my three teenaged sons and me, with room to spare. We loved the location near East Beach, the Conservancy, and park. The house is tastefully and beautifully decorated and stocked with extras that made our stay extra special. We loved the soft cotton blankets, the circus animal waffle maker, and the extra touch of trays/baskets for guests to use. The pantry was thoughtfully stocked and the gas grill a happy surprise, particularly since most of the restaurants were closed. Having two golf carts instead of one proved to be ideal, so we were grateful to have both. And we loved playing Jenga and Taboo after supper. Please thank the homeowners for opening their beautiful home to us. Our first trip to BHI was lovely.

First time on BHI

This was our first time to Bald Head Island and we picked the perfect house for us. It was so nice to be in the shade but so close to the beach. We loved having access to both clubs through the week. Working with BHI services was so great! They are very nice and answered the million questions I had as a first timer to the island. This is going to become our family tradition, I can already tell.

We loved our time on BHI and our stay at the Dreamaway Cottage. It is clean, decorated beautifully, beds are comfortable, private baths for each room, and in our favorite location on the island. We spent a wonderful 3 days in this home just before Christmas. The house is well-appointed and the decor is lovely--not too little, and not too much. Our family of 5 was very comfortable, and there's enough space for privacy when desired or hanging out together. It's about a 2 minute cart ride to the beach, and about 7-10 to the market.

We've visited Bald Head Island many times over the years, but this was our first visit during the winter. We enjoyed a lovely, relaxing stay in a “just right” very comfortable cottage! Everything was ready, spotless, & well equipped.....beautifully furnished as well! We already have plans to return to Dreamaway Cottage in August....can't wait!

This is our second stay at Dreamaway Cottage and it was even better than last year due to additional outdoor furniture, which allowed all three seating areas to be enjoyed. The houses in this beautiful 'compound' are small, but now, with the ability to spread out, the space in this house is more than adequate. Dreamaway is clean and tastefully decorated, beds are comfortable (except, predictably, the sleeper sofa), and each bedroom has its own bathroom. The kitchen is well stocked--though I'm still waiting for a large colander for pasta to appear! This room can become a little congested with more than one cook, yet is open and easy to gather in on the other side of the island and around the large table. Golf carts, bikes, and beach chairs and equipment are in good condition. For two reasons, we prefer to rent in the Cape Fear Station area of Bald Head Island--the proximity to East Beach and the peaceful shady surroundings. Dreamaway Cottage is the perfect place for us to stay to enjoy the island.

We very much enjoyed our two-week vacation to BHI! Dreamaway cottage is lovely and fit 6 of us very comfortably. It's perfectly located within a 3 minute cart ride (or 10 minute walk) to the Shoals Club and East Beach. The kitchen is well stocked with pots/pans, plates, utensils, cutlery, etc. There is plenty of seating around the kitchen table and in the living room area. The furniture is all in great condition and very pretty! We look forward to returning at some point!!

My husband and I were on the island to celebrate our anniversary, we love BHI. Unfortunately our time was cut short because of Hurricane Florence and we had to evacuate BHI. However, the time we did get to be there, the Dreamaway Cottage was perfect! Very Clean, Cozy and everything provided that we could possibly need. Master Bedroom bed very comfortable. My husband and I really enjoyed the two screened porches, morning coffee in the front and afternoon cocktails in the back after being at the beach. And Brandy was amazing to work with. We will definitely be back to Dreamaway Cottage.

We love BHI, and we needed a place for a long weekend for a family of 5, including 3 kids under the age of 5. The house had everything we needed, even a white noise machine for the kids room! Really well furnished and very nice interior design. Can't beat the value of being close to East beach...one of the hidden gems and best beach of the entire US East coast! Golf carts in great shape with a nice cover on the 6 seater made buzzing around in December no prob at all. Really nice and peaceful setting, and you can sit in the screen in porch bug free and still hear the waves from the ocean! We wouldn't hesitate at all to rent this property again. Thanks for renting it!
