Bald Head Island is a unique experience that you will feel the moment you step off the passenger ferry. This golfcart only paradise offers a unique vacation for all ages. Ibis Perch, a three-bedroom house located along the Bald Head Creek with one of the best sunrise views on the island, is the perfect place to experience it. We recently bought this beautiful home and made some upgrades. Now we're ready to share with you our Happy Place!
Enjoy the sunrise on the back porch while listening to wildlife. This home has a reversed floor plan with the main living area, dining room, kitchen and half bath located on the second floor. Enjoy the beautiful marsh view from the large windows and fresh breezes on the deck while you enjoy your morning coffee. The first floor has 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and a laundry room. The spacious and comfortable king master bedroom has a sitting area and a screened-in porch. From the bedroom and porch, you can see the marsh. There are also blackout curtains if you prefer to sleep without the sunrise. The second and third bedrooms share a bathroom. The second and third bedrooms share a bathroom.
This family-friendly house is located in a quiet cul de sac with only three other homes. We provide a babygate to block the stairs, so that everyone can enjoy the open concept upstairs. We have books, puzzles, and games for all ages. We think you will enjoy watching wildlife and sunrises more than television, but the home has 3 TVs, as well as an Atari game console (because it is old school, adults love this system as much as kids do!). Spectrum cable and WiFi are included. All TVs are smart TVs, so you can easily log in to your favorite streaming services. We also provide two portable Bluetooth speakers. Our youngest guests can use a Pack-N Play and a booster chair.
Two 4-passenger Golf Carts are included in your rental. Ibis Perch is less than a half mile from Old Baldy, the harbor area and Old Baldy. You can walk, ride a bike or golf cart to the island boat launch, where you will be able to kayak or paddleboard through the marsh creek. This is a great way to see Ibis Perch. You can rent kayaks and paddleboards on BHI. Just ask for more information.
You can reach the beaches in a golf cart and enjoy a day of sun, sea, and unforgettable sunsets. There are many public access points around the 13 miles pristine beaches. Explore the island and its many different beach experiences. Our home provides you with 3 bicycles, 6 beach chairs and a variety beach toys, including Bocce Ball. BHI offers bike rentals if needed. Just ask for more information. You can bring your own bike on the ferry!
We have a fully-equipped kitchen with all the essentials, including spices, olive oil and coffee filters. We have a gas barbecue and a large stockpot for a crab boil. You will also receive the basics, such as paper goods, soap, and dish detergent. You will have access to a blender, tea kettle (which can make a single cup or a full pot), coffee maker, hand mixer, food processor, and all the utensils and pots and pans you need. We provide linens and towels with the rental. Beach towels are also available in the laundry room.
BHI Club memberships are available separately. For more information about the cost, you can contact BHI Club. The guest membership gives you access to the pools, restaurants, fitness facilities, golf (greens fee required), tennis (additional fees required), pickleball, and croquet.

Really cute home, with a BEAUTIFUL view. Our favorite place was the little deck off the living room for morning coffee or afternoon wine. We had some issues with one of the golf carts but it was taken care of immediately! Would definitely return!
Great house, beautiful view

Ibis Perch was a great place for 6 people to stay. Plenty of room, a well-stocked kitchen, and amazing views. The house also came with lot of extras like games, bikes, spike ball, and beach chairs. The only suggestion I have is to add screens to the two smaller bedrooms. We had gorgeous weather and it would have been nice to open the windows for fresh air but with no screens, we were worried about moths. Highly recommend!
Great Place on the Marsh

This is our second stay at this house. We love the location and the property layout. The management company was very responsive to the 2-3 things that came up during our 2 week stay. One thing would really improve livability-- putting blackout curtains in the master to prevent sunrise from streaming in and lighting and heating the room. The kitchen and garage/gear are well-equipped. We will be back.

Great house with amazing views of the marsh. Equipped well with all you need for the week ie dishes, pans, 2 different coffee makers, BBQ, chairs, 2 golf carts. BHI services called to make sure everything was going well with the house which I thought was very nice and showed great service. Very clean home. It was so relaxing and tranquil. Can't wait to go back! I will definitely recommend Ibis Perch and BHI services to my friends and family!
Stunning Views of Marsh

Each morning and afternoon was a treat to be able fo watch the birds fly across the marsh, and the view made me be still (and I am a go kind of person). The views are truly some of the most spectacular on Bald Head. Although, we are back from Bald Head I will always treasure my time spent in this home.
relaxing vacation

Our family of four loved our time at Ibis perch. We prefer staying closer to east/south beaches but everything is just a short golf cart ride away. The views were amazing out the large windows and off the two decks! After a long day at the beach it was nice to return to a calm, green and vibrant landscape. The house had everything we needed and the golf carts were in great condition. It also had a very nice grill. The house came with 3 bikes which we used a lot for trips for icecream and evening rides. We brought 2 stand up paddleboards with us and were able to access the creek less than a minute away. I would highly recommend the house to anyone and hope to come back soon!

Our stay at Ibis Perch was truly magical. The house itself is adorably decorated and fun; it is stocked with absolutely everything you could ever need; and best of all--the view of the marsh is just breathtaking!
