This newly renovated cottage is located centrally in the forest on Bald Head island, overlooking a laguna and close to all amenities. Enjoy a glass of wine while watching the wildlife from the screened-in porch. The interior is peaceful and comfortable with new hardwood flooring, granite counter tops and beachy decor.
A private community gazebo and wildlife overlook provide the perfect setting for an evening of grilling. This unit includes two golf carts with four seats for travel. Beach chairs, skimboards, and boogie boards will make your stay at the beach complete. Two master suites upstairs have full private bathrooms. One has a king-sized bed, and the other has 2 twin/full bunks. Every bedroom and the family room have their own TVs for your entertainment.
The third bedroom downstairs has a full bath that is not attached and a queen-sized bed. The granite breakfast bar and kitchen table can seat 6 people. Queen pullout in the family room.
Bald Head Island can be reached by ferry in 20 minutes. The 20-minute passenger ferry ride from Indigo Plantation takes you to the harbour on Bald Head Island. The tram will take you to your home, 12 Sabal palm cottage, where two golf carts are waiting for you. You can explore the harbour, 14 miles of West and South beaches, and the beautiful marshlands.
Climb and explore the historic Old Baldy. Visit the beautiful Chapel. Explore the Conservancy's great programs, such as turtle walks on beaches, kayaking the marshes, and fishing the creeks and oceans. Dine at BHI Club, with golf privileges available. Watch the sun set while enjoying a delicious meal.

We were in town for a wedding weekend and had never visited BHI before. Life of Riley far exceeded any expectations that we had. The spaciousness and living room/ dining area setup were perfect for 3 couples and we had plenty of entertaining space indoor and outdoor to have our friends over that were also in town. The 2 golf carts, bikes, beach chairs, etc. were just the icing on the cake. This location was ideal, as we had wedding events on both sides of the island. We were just minutes from the market, the chapel, the ferry boats, and restaurants. BHI services even gave us courtesy calls throughout the trip to make sure we had everything we needed. We look forward to booking another trip soon!

Our first trip to BHI was absolutely amazing. And the Life of Riley was the perfect house for our family of 6. The pictures of the house don't do it justice. Great layout with tons of seating in the living room for everyone to spread out. The beds were so comfortable! Kitchen was really well stocked. The property management people were very helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had. I would highly recommend this house and BHI!

We would definitely stay here again. Our family of 6 really liked the layout, and wonderful amenities for kids! There were art supplies, books, games and puzzles which were perfect for several rainy mornings. The kitchen was also well-equipped with everything we needed in terms of cookware and instruments. There were plenty of beach chairs and sand toys in the garage which was convenient as well.

This house is more than you would expect for the price. There was plenty of room for the six of us and although there are houses quite close, the neighborhood was very quite and relaxing. Best of all was the screened in back porch where we could sit and unwind.
