Downtown Banner Elk, home to Lees-McRae College, is only five miles from the cabin and offers charming local shops and dining. Wine enthusiasts will love Grandfather Winery, six miles away, open year-round with live music at the vineyard. For stunning views and outdoor adventures, Grandfather Mountain and the iconic mile-high bridge are just nine miles away, offering hiking trails and wildlife exhibits for all ages.
The Cabin
Sugars Cozy Cabin is a beautifully crafted log cabin with an open-concept main floor. The great room features vaulted ceilings with exposed beams, warm wood walls, and a stacked stone fireplace that creates a cozy focal point. Sink into the leather sofa and relax by the gas fireplace after a day on the slopes or exploring the High Country.
The bright, modern kitchen boasts stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, and a large island perfect for meal prep, flowing seamlessly into the dining area. Step outside from the dining room to the covered back deck and enjoy your morning coffee or an evening meal at the picnic table while taking in the peaceful wooded scenery. The deck also includes a gas grill for easy outdoor dining.

The cabin offers WiFi, YouTube TV or streaming, central heating and air conditioning in addition to gas heat providing a cozy warmth, and a washer and dryer for your convenience. A gravel driveway provides parking for three vehicles, and AWD or 4WD is recommended for winter travel.

You may cancel within 48 hours of booking and receive a full refund. If you cancel more than 15 days before arrival, you will receive a refund of half the amount paid to date. Cancellations within 15 days before the arrival date do not receive a refund. If you purchase travel insurance and the reason for the cancellation is covered, you may recover the entire amount.
