Take a 15-minute drive to explore Waynesville (10 min.), discover herds of elk at Cataloochee in Smoky Mountain National Park (45 min.), and spend an evening catching a show at Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort (36 min.). Take a day trip to Asheville (33 min.) to explore its thriving culinary and art scenes and attractions such as the Biltmore Estate and River Arts District. Outdoor activities in the area include whitewater rafting, kayaking, fly fishing, and skiing and snowboarding at Cataloochee Ski Area (26 min).
