The Lutsen area offers everything from miles of hiking and biking trails to the Midwests premier downhill skiing destination Lutsen Mountains. Known primarily as a ski resort, during the summer months and fall you can take a scenic gondola ride up to the summit of Moose Mountain. Once you reach the top, enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Superior and the surrounding wilderness. Staying on the wilderness trail, Cascade State Park is just down the road and features a gorgeous waterfall following a short, easy hike. You are also just a short drive from several North Shore restaurants and quaint, locally-owned shops, including the North Shores first winery and first local coffee roaster.After a marvelous day of adventure on the North Shore, return to the Notre Reve to unwind with the soothing sounds of Lake Superior. Few things are more memorable than falling asleep to the rhythm of one of the worlds largest freshwater lakes dancing on the shoreline.Notre Reve Accessibility While not a wheelchair-accessible home, this home is accessible for some people with mobility issues. The home is located on a single story (the one bedroom requires a few steps down to access) with wide hallways. Guests can easily access the outside deck area off the living room, as well. Lake access is "easy" and requires going down two stone steps to access. However, ledge rock shorelines are uneven and challenging for some to walk around on.Thimbleberry has a bathroom on the main level and the living room sleeper sofa would be considered accessible. However, the bedrooms are both upstairs and not accessible.
