5-Star Review: "The house was bright and spacious! They had everything we needed and clear instructions about the property. It was an amazing retreat during the pandemic!" Welcome to Whiskey Mountain Lodge! This beautiful, rental cabin is atop Terry Peak and in the Terry Valley subdivision is approximately 2 blocks from the Terry Peak Ski Lodge. Built in 2015, you will enjoy the newer cabin feel along with the whiskey barrel themed motif. It features 1 king, 3 queens, a double and a set of bunks. It has a private hot tub, natural gas fireplace, full kitchen and a large air-hockey table that can double as a perfect puzzle table. This cabin is hooked up to a natural gas generator so you will never be without power. In September of 2020 this cabin enjoyed a make-over that included new beds, bedding and pillows. This not only included an adult size air hockey table but a larger breakfast table, wine cooler, work station with printer (if you must work), unlimited internet access from Viasat (which is the fasted satellite internet currently available), new outside grill, pub table, new TV’s and many other nice little amenities.. Enjoy a day in the Black Hills and then relax by the fire, in the hot tub, or on deck. Let the kids enjoy Netflix or any other internet accessed platform on any of the four TV’s or watch Direct TV which is available on two of them. This cabin’s driveway has been made even wider to allow not only plenty of room to park, but to turn around with your trailer and unhook it. There is no need to trailer anywhere as access to snowmobile or jeep trails is within minutes. Skiers have access to Terry Peak via short walk or minute drive from the cabin. The cabin’s main floor includes: 1 bedroom with the king bed, family room with large flat screen TV, kitchen/dining, dishwasher, bathroom, washer and dryer as well as access to deck with propane grill. The loft includes 1 queen and 1 double bed. The lower level includes a family room with large flat screen, DVD player, CD player, pub table, and large air hockey table, and access to patio and hot tub. One bedroom with one queen bed and the second bedroom has one queen bed and a set of bunk beds. TV’s in both bedrooms are hooked up to internet. The cabin sleeps 12 guests. I really enjoyed my stay. The cabin was peaceful and relaxing, and a great base for trips to Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer, Spearfish, and Deadwood.

It was a lovely area to stay by Terry Peak and the cabin was a gorgeous place to stay.
This cabin was just what we were looking for! The surrounding area was so calm and peaceful- we really enjoyed the quiet while sitting out on the deck. The dining area was small for all 8 of us to sit for meals but we just divided up and sat at the table and on the deck.
A three day stay at the cabin was peaceful before the summer crowd set in.

We had a wonderful time. It is so close to the ski lifts you can walk there (about 8-10min walk). The place was clean and comfortable. The hot tub was wonderful to relax in. I have always been a huge fan of western South Dakota and would probably search out Deadwood Connections again to stay in the are. I have never Airbnb'd before so what seems like a property management company involved made me feel better than just a private party renting there own home. I really can't get over how nice the house was. I personally hate going to restaurants so being able to make our own meals is such a nice feature, especially with kids that can be "starving" in the matter of 5 minutes. I would never hesitate to use one of their properties again.
