Just east toward town, you can find the Mickelson Trail Head or turn up to the Terry Peak Ski Area. Just 10 minutes west you can find Spearfish Canyon for some wonderful hiking, biking, rock climbing and fishing! Deadwood is only a 10 minute drive, Sturgis is 30 minutes away and it's only 45 minutes to Mountain Rushmore and Custer State Park. The best part?? After all that sight-seeing and adventuring, you can relax in style at The Juniper! Walk in the front door to a spacious, open floor plan with cathedral ceilings and gorgeous windows looking out to the Mountain scenery. The living area has a flat screen TV and gas fireplace, Dining area seats 8 comfortably and the well-appointed kitchen has everything you need to make family style meals. The walk-out takes you to the covered patio with BBQ grill, fire table and private hot tub - keep an eye out for the wildlife that roams this area. The main level also has a King-size bedroom with attached bath. Upstairs you will find 2 more King bedrooms, both with their own attached bathrooms. Had a wonderful long weekend in the Black Hills and the Juniper was a great place to call ‘home’ during. The place was just as listed/described, and the host was very responsive & helpful. Would recommend to others & will definitely keep in mind for future trips to the area.
The house was beautiful and the entire group enjoyed it. It had everything we needed for our stay. It was very clean, had plenty of towels, Kleenex and bathroom tissue. Enjoyed the patio and fire pit in the evenings. Easy to get to and plenty of parking for our vehicles and trailers. Have stayed in this area before at other homes and everyone in the group agreed they liked this home the best yet.
The Juniper was a great getaway for a long weekend with friends. The property is amazing and is in a quiet, forrested neighborhood. Plenty of room for 6 adults.
Pristine house in the woods. Quiet peaceful and comfortable. Great location close to restaurants and activities in Lead and Deadwood. House amenities were great and as described. I would highly recommend this house for your next stay in the black hills.
Best cabin we have stayed in so far! Will definitely return to Powderhouse Pass again.
