The back patio was our hangout most evenings along with some afternoon dips in the hot tub. Will definitely rent again!" Welcome to the Whiskey Barrel Cabin in the Gilded Mountain Development! This spacious, stunning vacation rental home features five bedrooms, three baths, and an open floor plan with all the amenities you would want such as: an oversized hot tub, very private back yard and deck, Wifi, satellite TV, gas fireplace, outdoor gas fire pit, two living areas, washer/dryer and a large kitchen. This homes can accomodate up to 12 people with the three bedrooms are on the upper floor, and two bedrooms on the lower floor. The cabin was clean and spacious, had everything we needed. Hot tub was very nice and clean.Beds and pillows were nicer than home, we slept extremely well. We would stay again, the only change we would suggest is mentioning that the driveway may be difficult to get up for small cars. Overall, great place to stay and relax, we would stay again and recommend to others :)

The place was incredible! Super clean and supplied with everything we could need. The hot tub was enjoyed daily and the kids loved the pool. It was great that it had 2 king size beds as we traveled with my sister and her family so it was great that both couples had a king bed to sleep on. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone who is looking for a place in the Black Hills.
Everything was great! Only opinion I have would be to add some lights on the back deck where the hot tub is. Very dark out there at night.
This location is perfect for us. We had quite a few generations staying in this one location. Some spent the majority of time in Deadwood; others went to Mt. Rushmore and Keystone. The cabin did have a fire pit and hot tub (we didn't use it) for those who just wanted to chill.

We had a great time at the Whiskey Barrel Lodge. It snowed about 10” while we stayed (April5-9). The snow was beautiful in the hills. We enjoyed a game day indoors, playing in the snow, even swam in the heated pool that is outdoors while the adults enjoyed the hot tubs. The kids loved the games in the community lodge. The house was a great fit for our family and the host was very quick to respond to any questions we had.
