Property Description
Welcome to Bohemia Wanderlust Bungalow! These brand-new beachfront bungalows were just completed in June of 2024. They are set on three private acres with 200 feet of gorgeous pink-sand beachfront near Governor's Harbour, the premier location on Eleuthera.
Appointed with wide-plank wood floors, white shiplap walls, beautiful lighting, seagrass wallpaper, and luxury bedding, The Beach Bungalows are luxurious but have a laid-back, barefoot feel. Each bungalow has a fully equipped kitchen, living room, bathroom with walk-in shower, and covered veranda. All bungalows have spectacular ocean views. You can see the sunrise from your bed!
Walk for miles in either direction on our secluded beach. After a walk on the beach, or an afternoon snorkeling our reefs and swimming in our turquoise sea, refresh with a dip in our heated ocean-view pool (pool heated up to 84 degrees November through April).
Located adjacent to the pool is our community pool house. This is an open-air, covered space for guests to gather for grilling, dining, playing games, or just relaxing by our extra-large pool. Our bar is a fully stocked, self-service bar, operated on an honor system. The pool house features a bar area with two under-counter refrigerators and a sink, a lounge area with two sofas and an oversized chair, and a dining area equipped with a six-seat dining table, all to make a fun alternative to a beach day. There is also a karaoke machine and a movie projector. The pool house has one public restroom and washers/dryers for guests.
Other amenities at Bohemia Bungalows include free Starlink WIFI and satellite TV, Ring Security, air conditioning in all rooms, charcoal grill, bocce ball, corn hole, yoga mats, free weights, bands, and TRX. All Bungalows have beach towels, two beach chairs, beach umbrella, and cooler. A rollaway bed is available for an extra charge.
It's rare to find a one-bedroom bungalow directly on prime beachfront. The Bohemia Bungalows offers three one-bedroom bungalows! Rent just one, or bring friends and rent them all. If you need additional sleeping quarters, rent our bunkhouse to sleep another six guests. The bunkhouse is appointed with one bedroom, two bathrooms, a kitchenette, and a covered veranda. There is also a new two-bedroom, two-bath home available for rent on the property.
Please note that the small road to Bohemia is rough, so we recommend renting a Jeep or SUV with a higher chassis when staying at this property.
The Bohemia Bungalows are convenient to restaurants and stores. LeoRose, Delish, and Pascal's restaurants are a five-minute drive from the property. There are also two grocery stores and a liquor store nearby. A ten-minute drive takes you into central Governor's Harbour, the main town on the island. Governor's Harbour has grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, two banks with ATMs, a bakery, gift shops, a dive shop, and a medical clinic. It has a nice little collection of 19th-century homes and churches overlooking a picturesque harbor. You can buy fresh fish and lobster every afternoon from a fisherman at the town dock. Friday Night Fish Fry in Governor's Harbour is a street/beach party that brings together all the tourists and locals with food, drink, and dancing in the street. You won't want to miss it.
Eleuthera is most famous for its 100 miles of spectacular, deserted beaches. It has a population of just 8000, and everyone knows everyone. The snorkeling and diving on the island are world-class. There are many reefs which you can snorkel or dive right from the beach. The fishing is also excellent because the island is so undeveloped and thinly populated. Bone fishing is very big, as is deep-sea fishing and reef fishing. You can fish on your own or hire a guide. Boating, surfing, and other water sports are also popular. You can rent power boats, sailboats, jet skis, sea kayaks, paddle boards, bikes, and scooters. You can have a charter captain take you out for fishing, snorkeling, or diving excursions. There are several popular spots for cliff jumping, including some tame enough for children. There is excellent sightseeing as well. Eleuthera has vast caves, cliffs, a bottomless ocean hole, dozens of beaches, each one unique, some historic churches and 19th-century homes, and little villages to explore.
