My partner and I owned this magical place for 8 years before selling it to the present owners in 2017. Richard passed away almost 2 years ago and I thought I might rent a place in Ellison Bay or Gill’s Rock for a few days or so. I knew that I would probably see the cabin’s listing but did not know that viewing it would hit me as hard as it did- so many memories of time spent with family and friends - but isn’t that exactly what one wants when owning or staying in a cabin and locale like this!

Fav of the stay: The cozy cabin with beautiful lake views, charming décor, fun record player and cool breezes ! Sunsets and smores , the peaceful deck and being tucked away from it all. Stargazing was amazing! Must See: Al Johnsons, Spot and Space for shopping, seaside gills rock shops, Twisted Tree, Newport State Park(Lynd/Fern trail), Northern Sky Theater Fav Memory: When we all unpacke dan mom realized she forgot her own suitcase! Needless to say it ended in a shopping spree!! Other Notes: Enjoyed our greeting from Oscar the goat! Thank you for a magical chang to get away from it all!!

Fav of the stay: Two wonderful weeks in a charming, cozy cabin with an unmatched view of water and sky. So restful and restorative. Glorious weather and so much cooler than Dayton’s heat. A releief. Must see locations: The Shoreline, Charlies smokehouse, Europe Bay beach is fantastic, the lighthouse tour/cruise out of Gills Rock( interesting to see this house and the others from the water) Other Notes: We’ve been coming to Door County/ Gills Rock every August for 20 plus years. Of all the places we’ve stayed we this this is one of the best. We loved the cabins décor and the yard art and flower pots. The deck and yard are great, and the comfortable seating inside and out was much appreciated. Appreciated there being a land line in the home just in case. Loved the record player and records and the light fixture in the kitchen. Thank you for making your happy place available for others!
