From the moment you board the passenger ferry on the mainland, you’ll feel that a special experience awaits you when you arrive at Bald Head Island. This golfcart-only paradise provides a unique vacation experience for all ages. Experience it from our lovely home – Ibis Perch is a three-bedroom home situated alongside the Bald Head Island Creek, with one of the most magnificent views of the sunrise over the marsh that you’ll find on the island. We’ve recently purchased this beautiful home, made a few upgrades, and now we are ready to share our Happy Place with you!

Sit back on the back porch and enjoy the magnificent sunrise each morning while listening to the wildlife. This is a reverse floor plan home with the main living, dining, kitchen, and half bath on the 2nd floor. Take advantage of the large expansive windows overlooking the gorgeous marsh view and enjoy the fresh breezes while enjoying morning coffee while watching the sunrise on the deck. On the first floor, you’ll find 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths, along with a full laundry room. The king master suite is spacious and comfy, with a sitting area inside and a screened porch – incredible views of the marsh can be seen from anywhere in the bedroom or screened porch (and there are blackout curtains in case you want to sleep in without the sunrise!). The second and third bedroom share a bath. One guest room has a queen while the other consists of two twins.

This family-friendly home is situated on a quiet cul-de-sac with only 3 other homes. We provide a baby gate to block the stairs so everyone can enjoy the upstairs open concept floorplan. We have games for all ages, puzzles and books available to enjoy. While we think you’ll be watching sunrises and wildlife more than TV. Spectrum cable and Wifi are included, and all TVs are Smart TVs so you can log into your favorite streaming services with no problem. We have a Pack-N-Play and a booster seat available for our youngest guests.

2 4-passenger golf carts are included with your rental. Ibis Perch is located less than a mile from Old Baldy and the harbor area. It’s a quick walk, bike ride or golf cart ride to the island boat ramp, where you can kayak or paddleboard in the marsh creek – and see Ibis Perch from a different view! Kayaks and paddleboards can be rented on BHI – just ask if you’d like more information.

Beaches are a short golf cart ride away, where you can enjoy a day in the sun and sea, as well as unforgettable sunsets. There are public access points all around the 13 miles of pristine beaches, so explore the island and the many different beach experiences. Our home does provide you with 3 bikes, 6 beach chairs, and a variety of beach toys (including Bocce Ball). Bikes can be rented on BHI if you need more – just ask if you’d like more information. You can also bring your own bikes on the ferry over with you!

We have a well-equipped kitchen stocked with your essentials. We also have a gas grill, and a large stockpot if a crab boil is your thing! The basics – paper goods, soap and dish detergent – will also be provided to you. You’ll have access to blender, tea kettle, coffee maker (makes single cup or full pot), hand mixer and food processor, as well as all utensils, pots, pans and cooking supplies needed. Linens and towels are included with the rental, and we have a supply of beach towels in the laundry room as well (you’re welcome to use them, but your rental agreement will indicate you are responsible for laundering and returning to the laundry cabinet).

A BHI Club lifestyle membership is available for a separate purchase. You can contact BHI Club for more information on cost. The guest membership will provide you with access to pools, restaurants and fitness facilities as well as golf (greens fees required), tennis, pickle ball and croquet (additional fee required).

Really cute home, with a BEAUTIFUL view. Our favorite place was the little deck off the living room for morning coffee or afternoon wine. We had some issues with one of the golf carts but it was taken care of immediately! Would definitely return!

Ibis Perch was a great place for 6 people to stay. Plenty of room, a well-stocked kitchen, and amazing views. The house also came with lot of extras like games, bikes, spike ball, and beach chairs. The only suggestion I have is to add screens to the two smaller bedrooms. We had gorgeous weather and it would have been nice to open the windows for fresh air but with no screens, we were worried about moths. Highly recommend!

Great Place on the Marsh

This is our second stay at this house. We love the location and the property layout. The management company was very responsive to the 2-3 things that came up during our 2 week stay. One thing would really improve livability-- putting blackout curtains in the master to prevent sunrise from streaming in and lighting and heating the room. The kitchen and garage/gear are well-equipped. We will be back.

Great house with amazing views of the marsh. Equipped well with all you need for the week ie dishes, pans, 2 different coffee makers, BBQ, chairs, 2 golf carts. BHI services called to make sure everything was going well with the house which I thought was very nice and showed great service. Very clean home. It was so relaxing and tranquil. Can't wait to go back! I will definitely recommend Ibis Perch and BHI services to my friends and family!

Stunning Views of Marsh

Each morning and afternoon was a treat to be able fo watch the birds fly across the marsh, and the view made me be still (and I am a go kind of person). The views are truly some of the most spectacular on Bald Head. Although, we are back from Bald Head I will always treasure my time spent in this home.

relaxing vacation

Our family of four loved our time at Ibis perch. We prefer staying closer to east/south beaches but everything is just a short golf cart ride away. The views were amazing out the large windows and off the two decks! After a long day at the beach it was nice to return to a calm, green and vibrant landscape. The house had everything we needed and the golf carts were in great condition. It also had a very nice grill. The house came with 3 bikes which we used a lot for trips for icecream and evening rides. We brought 2 stand up paddleboards with us and were able to access the creek less than a minute away. I would highly recommend the house to anyone and hope to come back soon!

The house itself is adorably decorated and fun; it is stocked with absolutely everything you could ever need; and best of all--the view of the marsh is just breathtaking! The management company was flexible, available, and extremely helpful. We couldn't recommend this property more highly!
