Enjoy the Pacific Ocean views, the sounds of the Costa Rican jungle and a private swimming pool, along with a wonderful three-bedroom home, in Ballena, Costa Rica (10 minutes south of Uvita) and a two-bedroom nearby casita. The entire gated property is yours! The first floor of Ballena Bliss was designed to incorporate enjoyment with both the inside and the outside of the home, but blending into one connected space. The second floor is where all three bedrooms of the main house are located (all bedrooms have air conditioners inside the room). The Owner's Suite and Bedroom #2 each have a work-desk in the room to provide privacy while working on a laptop. The Owner's Bedroom: A/C, en-suite bathroom Bedroom #2: Queen bed, A/C, patio/balcony access from the bedroom Bedroom #3: Two-single beds, A/C There is a bathroom on the second floor for the guests of Bedroom #2 and Bedroom #3 to share. There is an amazing outside covered patio on the second floor available for Guests to enjoy the outdoors throughout the year. It's a great place to enjoy the breezes, the sounds of the jungle and to watch the ocean. The casita is a two bedroom separate home available only for Guests at Ballena Bliss Estate. Each bedroom has its own A/C, kitchenette and bathroom. Every vacation rental managed by Osa Property Management will have the following provided: Full bag of Costa Rican coffee (250 mgs) Coffee filters Cooking oil Dish soap (sink) Dish cleaning sponge Starter set of dishwasher soap Salt Pepper Paper towels Napkins Shampoo in every shower Soap in every shower Hand soap at every sink Start set of laundry detergent Toilet paper One box of Kleenex per bathroom Trash bags Guests who want more of the above items, will be responsible for purchasing. Important: Our properties are protected by a digital trust platform that enables Hosts, Operators and Guests to confidently transact in the short-term rentals space. Please note that once you have booked, you will be contacted by a representative to verify the reservation. Please make sure this is completed prior to check-in. Failure to do so may result in the reservation being canceled.

Access

Guests will meet with an Osa Property Management representative at our office in Uvita for check-in, and then be escorted to the home. Check-in must be completed by 8 pm. If guests will be arriving between 8 pm and 9:30 pm, a $50 late check-in fee will be required to be paid prior to entry. No arrivals after 9:30 pm Osa Property Management will also be available from 8 am - 5 pm.

Transit

A private vehicle is strongly recommended as private transport is not always available. A 4x4 vehicle is always recommended, but other 2x4 vehicles can access the property (small vehicles will not make it to the house). Osa Property Management drives a 2x4 Toyota Escort Sport that can easily make it to the home. This part of Costa Rica does not have UBER and private taxis are not always available.

Interaction

Osa Property Management’s Concierge and Vacation Planner team will contact you after you have made your reservation. We will assist with making any necessary transportation arrangements from Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose (SJO), or one of the local regional airports in Palmar Sur or Quepos, to property in Ballena. We will also arrange all excursions/activities/tours with reputable companies in the area, provide a link for grocery delivery, and make reservations at any restaurant. Our goal is to make your trip to Costa Rica enjoyable and as relaxing as you want it to be.

Neighbourhood

The home is located in Ballena, just south of Uvita. Uvita is one of the Central Pacific's best kept secrets. The beaches are beautiful, the hills are lush, wildlife is abundant and its the perfect place to surf, horseback ride or just relax. There are wonderful restaurants, banks, grocery stores, bakeries and several National Parks. If you are looking for a beautiful beach destination that is far less developed than Manuel Antonio, Uvita is a fantastic alternative. The highlight is Marino Ballena National Park, featuring the famous sandy "Whale Tail" where migrating humpback whales can be seen just offshore. You can whale watch, dolphin watch or snorkel. Uvita also makes a great base for exploring Dominical (12 miles North) which is a fun, funky hippie and counterculturist enclave with great shops, dining, live music, candlelight yoga, spas, bars and beach. The tiny town of Ojochal is 9 miles to the South and is known as one of the best foodie town in Costa Rica. Ojochal also offers easy access to Playa Ventanas, a small and beautiful beach famous for its sea caves. For those who enjoy golfing, the southern pacific’s only golf course, Osa Golf Course, is an easy 20 minute drive south.

Space

Ballena Bliss Estate is a private property with no shared spaces. Guests will have the exclusive use of the entire property and the swimming pool.
