Harbor-front tiny home/ furnished deck, Awesome sights and sounds - In historic Noyo Harbor

If you love the outdoors and the ocean, being close to the water, and watching and enjoying wildlife, then the “Emmanuel” is the house for you. Right on the water, this brand-new “Large-scale Tiny Home,” located on one of the harbor’s original docks, will be right up your alley. The unit is 20 feet from the harbor, so you can sit on the deck and watch the seals play, as well as see the endless parade of fishing vessels coming and going from sunrise to sunset. This is an amazing and unique vacation rental experience.

Since this is a working harbor, the sounds of wildlife, foghorns, and harbor life might not suit light sleepers, but if you like unusual environments and new experiences, then you are in for a treat! Let the sounds of the barking seals, the harbor foghorn, the boats coming and going, and the tide lull you into a blissful and calm state..ALSO - The Emmanuel is one of two units on the dock and the units are very close to each other. This does not bother me but it might bother some so if you are wanting more open space this might not be the rental for you .

The home feels larger than its ~650 square feet (400 square feet downstairs and 250 square feet upstairs in the loft). The maximum capacity for Emmanuel is 4 people, with a queen bed in the downstairs master bedroom and another queen bed in the small bedroom in the loft. The home is newly furnished with clean, modern furnishings and accessories, while the loft TV room has a “groovy vibe” and cool retro bean bag chairs.

Note: The loft in this unit has a bedroom and TV area but the ceilings are very low, about 4 feet high.

" Sitting on the dock of the bay" -- Otis Redding (1968)

Sittin' in the mornin' sun

I'll be sittin' when the evenin' comes

Watching the ships roll in

Then I watch 'em roll away again, yeah

I'm sittin' on the dock of the bay

Now’s your chance: You too can be sitting on the dock of the bay...

This unit is located in the Sportsmans RV Park in the heart of the Noyo harbor

Noyo Harbor

Noyo Harbor was first established as a port for logging and fishing back in the late 1800s. The Noyo Harbor is an active, fully operational harbor, and is the first such harbor north of San Francisco Bay.

The harbor is reminiscent of the famous Cannery Row in Monterey, which includes fisheries and a full marina with classic and vintage fishing vessels of all types. The harbor is a wonderful place for seal-watching, kayaking, or just sitting back and enjoying the foghorn and the coming and going of boa ts.

There have been many classic movies and T.V Shows filmed here through the years, including The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming! (1966), Humanoids from the Deep (1980), Overboard with Kurt Russell & Goldie Hawn (1987), and the T.V series Murder, She Wrote (1980s).

Note about the name: “Emmanuel” is the name of the owner’s son, who is currently serving on a Coast Guard vessel, the “Dauntless.”

The view from deck and back double doors made our whole stay priceless. We enjoyed meeting and briefly speaking with owner as well. We had no issues with check in and arrived at a non busy time so we never saw any neighbors or had any noise around us. I am glad I booked this tiny home, it was more than enough space for two and we can see four staying comfortably. We only went upstairs to look at loft, but did not stay up there to use bed or tv. The kitchen is equipped with the basics if you choose to cook and theres a bbq grill on deck (that we did not look at since it was covered). All in all, I would not hesitate staying here again.

Great location. Cute, clean house. Stayed with our family of five and all the kids loved the tiny house. Owner was very communicative and always available if needed. Close to everything, walkable to restaurants in Noyo. Would definitely recommend to families looking for a fun stay right on the harbor.

We spent 5 nights at Emmanuel and it was perfect for us. My husband and I were in the downstairs bedroom with the baby in a crib, and my 4.5 yr old in the upstairs bedroom. Both kids loved the loft and while it was small, we spent most of our time out on the deck watching the boats come in and out. The location could not be more perfect - within walking distance to so many great restaurants and just a short drive to the little downtown area, beaches and Mendocino! The communication was excellent before and during our stay and the property manager made sure they set up the room so we could fit the crib. We would not hesitate to stay here again and will def recommend it to friends!

When we first looked for sites for our family getaway to the area, we were waffling between this house and another nearby cabin. My husband saw the view of the harbor and said, "we need to stay here" and so we did. First, everything was clean and perfectly set up for us. I was worried about the reported ant situation but we did not see any during our stay. My kids LOVED it!!! After checking in, they explored every nook and cranny of the tiny home. "Can we stay here forever?" "I love this place!" We loved the porch where we could sit and eat while enjoying the view. We saw the sea lion(s) swimming around and heard them wish us "good morning" over the weekend. The location is perfect. There were some great seafood places within walking distance. I just wished Django's was still open. Overall, we have no complaints and would definitely recommend it for anyone! The vacationers adjacent to us were super nice also!

This tiny house is a gem! Barely needed our car, we walked to the beach and several restaurants easily since its located right in the harbor. Sunsets were gorgeous and coffee on the deck in the morning with the fog was beautiful. There are a bunch of tiny house is right next to each other too so it would be great to have a big family rent them all! There is even a little area with picnic benches overlooking the harbor right outside your back doors you could all hang out at! Can u tell we might be back with more family lol?!

Our family had a wonderful time staying at this tiny house on Noyo Harbor. Being right on the water, along a working harbor really added to our trip. We enjoyed watching seals, birds, people fishing and boats passing through from the front room and the deck. The house had everything we needed for a mini vacation. (I am slightly obsessed with the tiny home movement so I loved getting to stay in one!)
