Property Description

Coastal Hideaway

Looking for the perfect place to get away from it all with your closest family or friends? The Coastal Hideaway has you covered. This 4-bed, 3-bath vacation rental can host up to 8 people and is perfectly situated for access to all the best adventure spots on the Mendocino Coast – or you can just as easily kick back and spend your vacation enjoying the property’s great amenities

(including a fully-equipped kitchen) and beautiful yard.

When you arrive at this luxurious craftsman-meets-ranch home, you’ll notice how light and airy the house is, thanks to the high ceilings, skylights, and picture windows. Every bedroom has access to the deck through a sliding door, and one of the two en-suite bedrooms boasts a window seat perfect for curling up with a good book or taking in the view. The living room features comfortable couches, blu-rays, board games, and a smart TV. The kitchen offers everything you need for a family dinner or a  friendly cooking competition, including a 6-burner electric stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, ice maker, and

coffee machine. The grill on the patio presents another dinner option for the BBQ-lovers among us – and the covered patio with an 8-top table is ideal for al fresco dining. The breakfast nook/dining area also has a table with seating for 8. Other amenities include a washer and dryer, high-speed internet, and desks for anyone needing a workspace.

At the Coastal Hideaway, you’ll have a front-row seat to nature. The house is in a clearing, with an idyllic garden and scenic yard surrounded by towering trees, so you’ll have lots of privacy without sacrificing the sunshine. At night, solar LED lighting in the garden ensures that you can still take in the view.

If you venture out to local attractions, the nearby Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens are world-renowned, featuring stunning seasonal flora and succulents and acres of trails out to the ocean. A short drive to the north, Fort Bragg boasts a vibrant downtown district, neighborhood restaurants, coastal trails, art galleries, the famous trestle bridge, Pudding Creek Beach, the

Skunk Train, the Mackerricher boardwalk, and more.

To the south, the quaint and historic village of Mendocino will be instantly recognizable to many film buffs. It is also home to an array of restaurants, cafes, artisan crafts, headlands trails, and Big River Beach. For unique hiking spots on the way to Mendocino, visit Point Cabrillo Lighthouse, the pygmy forest at Jug Handle State Park, and the waterfall trail at Russian Gulch State Park. To explore by sea, you have your choice among kayak and canoe rentals, fishing charters, and seasonal whale-watching tours.

Whether you’re returning from a long day of outdoor adventures or a foray into binge-worthy shows, when it’s time to call it a night, every bedroom has luxurious beds, charming cottagedecor, closets, and places to work. One en-suite bedroom has a king  bed, two closets, a window seat, a smart TV, and a bathroom with shower. The other en-suite bedroom has a queen bed, a desk, a bathroom with shower, a smart TV, cabinets, and a closet. Two other bedrooms have queen beds and have access to a bathroom with shower and bathtub. They also have hutches for storage, closets, and easy access to the deck and yard.

If you’re ready to find your new favorite escape, you’ve found it: come stay at the Coastal Hideaway, where you can embrace the beauty of the Mendocino Coast and enjoy a relaxing vacation at this hidden gem.

We are four friends who have traveled a lot together over 40 years. This house was so comfortable and well stocked as well as beautifully landscaped. Plenty of common area to enjoy with lovely views out every window. Each bedroom was comfortable and sizeable. We would stay again and recommend it to others.

We loved our stay at the Costal Hideaway. It felt like a home away from home. :) The house was so comfortable and beautifully decorated. The big window in the master bedroom was so lovely and relaxing to sit in. The beds were very comfy and allowed us to experience restful nights. Everyday we cooked meals in the big kitchen with plenty of counter space. It was also nice to explore the backyard and grounds of the property. Our host was so friendly and responsive. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and will definitely return next time we come to Mendocino County/Fort Bragg!

Our stay here was wonderful. Just a few minutes drive to the town with easy access to the main road. A spacious kitchen with a grill in the back patio for use. A lot of room for our family of 5 adults and one child. We had plenty of privacy with a lovely backyard. Perfect house for a getaway. Woods to the east and the ocean to west. Again, a wonderful stay here. Highly recommend.

We stayed at the property for several days with family members, which was the perfect coastal escape. Gorgeous rental home with many amenities. The place was tastefully accessorised in a nautical theme with holiday decorations that created a welcoming atmosphere. The kitchen was fully furnished, which was appreciated; all you need to bring is the seasoning of your choice and food. Our favourite part was the outdoor garden and patio. Watching the sun shine on the beautiful flowers and morning frost was refreshing; we were even greeted by a handful of deer one morning! Prime location with attraction sites such as Fort Bragg, Mendocino, Point Cabrillo, etc., all just a couple minutes away. We would consider renting again. Communication with the management team was flawless.

The house was beautiful and spacious. Everything was clean and everything you could need in the kitchen and bathrooms. The ice maker was a great amenity. The towels were plentiful and so soft and the beds were very comfortable. We will only missed that there was no salt/pepper or cooking oil, but do acknowledge that the listing did not say there would be. Just a note for the next person to stay. Thanks for a very enjoyable stay. We would definitely recommend and stay again!
