Property Information
This immaculate Amelia Island Property is newly refurbished. This Beachfront Amelia Island condominium is a unique Ocean Front sanctuary. This wonderful Amelia Island Vacation rental is located in the exquisite and exclusive gated community of Ocean Place on Amelia Island, Florida. The condominium is directly on the Atlantic Ocean in Summer Beach immediately South and contiguous to the magnificent Five (5) Star Ritz Carlton Hotel of Amelia Island.
Our Amelia Island ocean front property is newly renovated and privately situated. Our Amelia Island vacation rental is beautifully furnished, immaculate, non-smoking, 5th floor End Unit with 3 large bedrooms. Importantly, each bedroom has a private bath and shower. We are located in a secure gated enclave with lush tropical vegetation and sprawling mature live oaks and palm trees surrounding the property. We think our home is very family friendly and comfortable.
The term privately situated is mentioned above because of the unique position of our building relative to the other 2 buildings and the Ritz Carlton Hotel in our immediate location. Our Southern end of the building away from the Ritz Carlton Hotel sticks out toward the Ocean about 35-40 feet closer to the water than the other buildings which are parallel to the water. This benefit allows complete and unique privacy from the other guests in the other buildings on most of our terrace area. If you stay with us, this unexpected feature is a rare blessing as it allows outdoor meals, sunbathing and relaxing in total and complete privacy within a condominium setting because of the relative position of our unit. We relish this privacy as will our guests.
The interior of our home includes spotlessly clean, tasteful, and sophisticated furnishings and an ultra modern, completely equipped kitchen with brand new appliances. The 10 foot ceilings add a more comfortable feeling to the large open spaces and distinguish the property in the great room area, kitchen, dining room, and master bedroom, as well as the spacious ocean front terrace. All of these places have unobstructed ocean views of the Atlantic Ocean Beach.
The large ocean front Master Bedroom Suite has an oversized Master Bath with a Jacuzzi tub, separate glass shower, private commode, and dual sinks. This Master Bedroom opens directly to the spacious terrace with clear ocean views, wave sounds and ocean breezes enjoyed by opening the floor to ceiling sliding glass patio doors. There is also a large picture window overlooking the dunes and the ocean.
The master bedroom has a king size bed while the other two large bedrooms each have an oversized queen bed and one of the rooms has an extra twin bed in addition to the queen. There is a TV and phone in each of the bedrooms. The main living room area also has a large TV with a DVD player and the TV is connected to Comcast cable for a wide variety of channels. A stereo sound system is also available to play music.
There are breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean from nearly every window of this distinctive end unit corner location. Also, there are special views of the early morning Atlantic Ocean Sun Rise from the unique circular terrace overlooking the beach and the waves.
The large circular terrace also serves as a spacious extra room with over 315 square feet to the living space. Please remember the privacy issue previously mentioned because of the position of the building affording completely private space on most of the terrace.
During the day we use this terrace space for enjoying dining outdoors at the large dining table and 4 chairs, while in the comfort and privacy of the confines of the condo. The terrace uniquely provides both a pleasant shaded retreat from late morning to the evening sunset with 2 chaise lounge chairs and ottomans. The space offers room for a sunny sunbathing place up until the late afternoon or a shady spot to read or relax. There are ocean breezes constantly coming from the sea to keep the summer days cooler and refreshing. The terrace area is our favorite place to extend sunbathing or relaxing, reading or just watching the ocean and the world go by in the sun or the shade.
This deck area is also where younger children can be safe and supervised in a space large enough to play.
To get onto the beach in front of our Condo, there is a short stroll over the environmentally designed wooden boardwalk over the sea oats and sand dunes to get to our surprisingly wide and gorgeous beach. In the summer months, there are typically small tidal pools left by the ebbing low tides each day. These wonderful tidal pools provide a warm water and interesting feature for children to play safely in the sand and in shallower water up on the beach away from the surf and the waves. Also, there are three families of large Gopher Turtles that live in their small sand caves and wander around the dunes below our balcony daily.
In addition to the sandy ocean beach, there are 2 private beautiful ocean front swimming pools with comfortably furnished pool deck furniture with chaise lounges and tables for relaxing and sunbathing for our guests. Further, you will have privileges to the Summer Beach Resort giving you free access to 2 lighted tennis courts as well as the Summer Beach Club Pool. During the summer the Beach Club has food preparation, bar service, and a baby pool. This facility is a short 2 minute drive from our Ocean Place entrance on the parkway to the Beach Club.
There is a private championship golf course steps away from our property in front of the Ritz Carlton called the Amelia Golf Club where our guests have golfing privileges for a reduced rate. Also, there are five other championship golf courses on the Island and nearby off the Island for an additional variety of golfing opportunities.
Amelia Island is ideal for families or travelers seeking a vacation off the beaten track. The treasured historic city of Fernandina Beach reminds one of Old Key West, FL. The downtown area is one of the oldest cities in Florida and has been under eight (8) different political flags over the centuries. The architecture is most interesting and is early 19th century. The Island has one of a kind boutiques, fine art galleries, folk art galleries, antique shops, bistros, restaurants, live entertainment, and local bars. All these places are unique small "one-off" specialty shops and restaurants for all tastes.
The historic district of the City of Fernandina also has scores of newly restored gorgeous 19th century homes with many in a vintage ginger bread architectural style just off Center Street for touring and walking downtown. The historic district increases it's geographical footprint every year, as new properties are quietly and fully restored to their original previous splendor.
The location of this beautiful tropical paradise on Amelia Island is claimed to be one of the most desirable locations on Florida's Atlantic Coast because of the wide unspoiled coastline. Amelia's beaches have been voted among the top 10 beaches in America over the years by different Travel magazines. This quiet unspoiled stretch of North East Florida Island coastline has 13 miles of endless nearly empty golden sand beaches on this unique barrier island located at the border with Florida and Georgia. One can walk the entire length of the Island. You can start walking at the historic Florida State Park at Fort Clinch on the north end of the Island where you can see Georgia's Cumberland Island National Seashore and it's wild horses across the St. Mary's River all the way to the Amelia Island State Park on the south end of the Island with a totally unobstructed journey of 13 miles.
There are also miles of salt marshes and grassy vegetation to be viewed on the West side of Amelia Island along the Intra-Coastal Waterway gracing the entire Western marsh land shore of the Island.
Amelia Island is also popular for many other activities including the very special experience of horse back riding on Amelia's ocean beach. There is also surf fishing for whiting, small harmless bonnet shark, blue fish, cat fish, and other species depending on the season. Deep sea charters are also available at the downtown Fernandina Beach Marina for tarpon, grouper, snapper, shark, sea bass, cobia, amber jack, barracuda, bonito and other species depending on the season. Calmer back water, river and intracoastal fishing for king mackeral, bonnet shark, large shark is also available; Also there is bicycling, boating; river, marsh and ocean kayaking; surfing, windsurfing, para-sailing, swimming, and, of course, just relaxing.
As previously mentioned, there are complex marsh lands on the Westerm edge of Amelia Island residing on the Maine to Florida Intra-Coastal Waterway. There are also thick, old growth live oak forests and tall pines around the Island that offer especially great backdrop experiences for hiking, canoeing, kayaking or bicycling.
Just off the South end of the Amelia Island there in a bridge leading to two (2) pristine Florida State Parks on the Atlantic offering sandy beaches for picnicking, sunbathing, fishing and other beach activity. These two islands are called Little Talbot and Big Talbot Islands.
The local area is not only well known for its natural beauty, active lifestyle and restful views, but also for the great night life with many very fine restaurants, cafes, bistros, and bars including the famous Palace Saloon which has bragging rights to being "Florida's Oldest" continuously operated drinking establishment.
The beautiful Five Star (*****) Ritz Carlton Hotel is located steps away from our property with a conveniently located paved walkway for easy access between the two properties. The Ritz offers the finest dining on the Island and many special amenities including one of the most sophisticated day spas in Florida as well as a professionally staffed fitness center, tennis courts (under reconstruction) and wellness center.
Please ask us for golfing privileges available to our guests at the private Amelia Golf Club at reduced guest rates.
We hope you contact us and stay with us at our home away from home. You will be most welcome.

Testimonials
6/09, Judith I., Atlanta; Your place is gorgeous and the views are to die for. Thanks for making our stay so comfortable. We hope to return next summer.
7/09, Susan C., La Grange, GA; Our family truly enjoyed our stay, especially the children with the pool and the beach a few convenient steps away. Furnishings were immaculate as promised and we are grateful for the cleanliness and the good condition of everything.
8/09, Daine S., Dallas, TX; Thanks for the hospitality and wonderful ocean front accomodations for our family vacation. The pretty views and the cooling daily breezes were unexpected bonuses. The nearby little city of Fernandina Beach is also quite a surprisingly interesting historic place with fun shops and good reasonably priced places to eat. The whole experience was very family friendly.
9/09, Ann and Michael C., Kansas City, MO; Our week visit was too short as we really enjoyed our time at your lovely beach front condo. The young children enjoyed the swimming pool right below your terrace space. And the tidal pools at low tide remained nice and warm and safe for the kids.
10/09, John R., NY, NY; Your beach home is very special and exceeded our expectations. The weather was absolutely great and we thank you for specially arranging that warm and sunny blessing. We look forward to visiting again same time next year. |
