Our family was very happy staying at Live Oak Cottage. It is conveniently located at the center of the island and is very private nestled in the trees. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well-equipped, the porches were wonderful, and the house was very clean and well-kept. Having bikes and beach toys/chairs was a fabulous and unexpected bonus. We hope to return. Thank you!

We have been staying at Bald Head for the past 5 years and this was by far the best house we've stayed in. It had all the amenities you could need and the house was beautifully decorated, clean and very comfortable for our family of 4. The golf carts were in great condition which was a problem for us in the past at other homes, so safety wasn't an issue. Also we loved having the bikes to ride around in all over the island to explore. Very memorable week!

Peaceful Retreat

Our family had a wonderful time at Live Oak Cottage. We spent mornings (and evenings) sitting on the front and side porches drinking coffee, reading, and watching deer. It was so quiet and peaceful. The interior of the house is very clean, now a soothing light gray color, nice comfortable cotton linens, plenty of pillows and towels. We had all the amenities we could possibly need -- TVs in each bedroom, large TV in the living room, board games, several bikes, fully stocked kitchen, the upstairs loft area has a daybed for relaxing (or sleeping) and a desk with wireless printer. Having 2 golf carts was great, especially when we wanted to split up and be in different places on the island. The house is on a very quiet road, our kids could safely play and ride their bikes. Convenient as well, because it is located halfway between the marina and the market. A relaxing, memorable vacation.

This home was perfect for our stay on the Island. The accommodations were comfortable with beautiful decorating and settings inside and out. The kitchen is well appointed and allows for stay in cooking if desired. We used the two golf carts and bikes that were in the shed. I would definitely recommend this home for a family to enjoy while staying on this beautiful island.

The front porch looked very inviting with its comfortable seating, but it was too cold to enjoy. Though our stay was brief, we very much enjoyed our visit to BHI and this house served all of our needs.

Beautiful, quiet and clean

Perfect house for my family. From the location to the quality to the value, it was everything we wanted out of our vacation. The house is located in the middle of the island so you're close to everything. The house is on this very quiet Dead End Road where the only noises you hear are the birds and crickets. Kids can play on the dead-end road without any fear of any other vehicles ever even being on the road. The house itself was clean and looks like brand new. The appliances all look new and the living room, dining room and kitchen areas are perfect for sharing time together. We spent several enjoyable evening playing board games in the living room with the entire family. We look forward to going back to Bald Head and staying in the same house again.

Perfect Family Vacation House and Location

Everything about our long weekend at Bald Head in this house was just what we were looking for. The house is in great shape and everything in the house seems like new. We loved the quiet dead end street so the kids could play and the central location between the marina and the East beach. Perfect getaway place. The only noise we heard as we sat on the beautiful porch drinking our morning coffee was the birds and the trees rustling.

This house is amazing!. It was quiet and great for our family. We went on long bike rides, cooked great meals and sat around the large table and played games. We loved sitting on the porches and watching the animals, bird and butterflies. Can't wait to book our summer vacation in this same house!

Peaceful, Great Location and Beautifully Decorated!

This home is so peaceful in the Maritime Forest area where we felt the peacefulness of a mountain retreat while being centrally located on the island. The home is beautifully decorated and very comfortable with everything you need while vacationing on the island. With the screened porch and the front porch, there are plenty of places to relax and take in the scenery. Coordinating/booking with the property manager was very easy. We preferred staying in the downstairs bedroom with the king bed; however, the bathroom is rather small so if you prefer a larger bathroom plan to sleep upstairs in the queen bedroom which has the largest bathroom. We will most definitely stay here again if we return to BHI.

Wow!!! This property was fabulous! Everything was clean and neat! The location was wonderful! We are family of six and it was perfect! One of the golf carts had an issue and Brandy was very kind and got it fixed right away. We would definitely recommend this property to friends and family!!
