Owls Nest has three official bedrooms but also has one additional private sleeping area.
Newly constructed Owl's Nest, this pet-friendly home sits approximately twenty minutes from downtown Blowing Rock and fifteen minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway! This home is also a beautiful fifteen minute drive to Grandfather Mountain, and only thirty minutes from both Sugar Ski Resort and Appalachian Ski Mountain!
Feel right at home as soon as you walk in the entrance and be greeted by the large living room and stunning views of the mountains, including Misty Mountain. Make sure to take advantage of the telescope in the living room to see The Blowing Rock! Unwind in the evening in front of the wood-burning fireplace, while the family chef cooks up dinner in the gourmet kitchen. Or catch the breath-taking sunset in the evening, while roasting marshmallows in the outdoor fireplace on the main level deck. Take an afternoon and lounge in the upper loft area with a good book or choose from one of the many puzzles to work on a rainy day. Challenge your opponent on a game of billiards or take it easy on the lower level deck and relax to the sound of the creek behind the property. The brand new hot tub awaits for you to unwind after long hikes through the mountains or downtown shopping adventures!
Located on the lower level are two bedrooms, one with a queen and the other with two sets of twin bunkbeds for the kids with a shared bathroom with tub/shower combo. The cozy king master bedroom sits off of the living room with an en suite bathroom with tub and step-in shower. There is an additional bathroom on the main level. The last bedroom is located on the upper level with a Queen bed. All of the bathrooms have hairdryers provided by the homeowners. This magnificent home sleeps up to ten people, perfect for a family get-together or friend retreat. Visit the Blue Ridge and live the luxury mountain life at Owls Nest.

Additional Notes:
- All towels and linens provided
- The driveway is plowed in winter, but 4WD or AWD vehicles are required November-March, and chains may also be necessary to access all properties in winter months.
- No more than 4 vehicles at a time. All vehicles must be parked in the driveway. Guests cannot leave cars on the shoulder.
- Internet is currently DSL and is adequate for checking emails and general web browsing but NOT for streaming or gaming activities. Depending on your carrier, your cell phone may or may not work in this location. Verizon is the best coverage here, and if your plan supports it, you can use your phone as a hotspot.
- Dogs are welcome with a pet fee of $25/night each. Maximum of two (2) mature, well-trained dogs only, please.
- Firewood is provided by the homeowner.

We stopped here on our way home for the holidays, and the place was incredible! Watching the sun rise over the mountains in the morning from the living room was probably our favorite part about the place. It was also so nice to be able to use the fireplace inside and hot tub, we definitely will be visiting again!

The Owl's Nest was a perfect family retreat. The views and all the amenities were just what we needed for a peaceful, joyous stay. The deck offers incredible views at all times of day. The house was sparkling clean and the picture windows of the mountains, made leaving the home hard. There was so much to do in the surrounding areas, tubing, hiking, the caverns. I could have stayed an extra week and that rarely happens.

The view is absolute perfection. We sat in silence, prayer, and often in giggles of delight. The home is well appointed, with a full kitchen and luxury linens. We sat outside star gazing with a fire burning, you can see for miles with only a few homes on the distant mountain tops as signs of civilization. Would stay again.

OWLS NEST CABIN, BLUE RIDGE RENTALS. We stayed in this cabin for 10 days. The cabin was perfect. We were a family of 5 with a dog. The driveway is a little challenging but if people from Florida in a rental mini van can figure it out.... anyone can. There is a cabin directly next to it, but they were the nicest people. Great neighbors! Great neighborhood. The bedrooms were just right. The bathrooms were stunning. The upper back porch, with a fire going and taking in the views was the best part about the cabin. You only need to come with your clothes and buy food and you are set. My kids had so much fun picking wild blackberries while out playing. Really close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and 20 minutes from Downtown Blowing Rock, a family friendly old school small town with such charm. We would stay there again and again.

Our entire family of 11 (our two daughters, son-in-laws, 4 grandchildren ages 1-6), my 88 year old mother and 2 dogs) stayed at Owl's Nest for a week of great fun in the Blue Ridge Mountains! The home was beautifully designed with an awesome view of the mountains. We had some challenges upon arrival with the electronic lock not working, but soon got a new code with the on-call maintenance representative. The cleanliness of the cabin was fair as there was dog hair on and under the furnishings. The parking area is steep and difficult to fit 3 vehicles. The family room and dining room furniture were limited and not comfortable for 11 individuals. Also there is another house very close on one side, which was unexpected. Otherwise, the cabin was great for our family. We had a phenomenal time exploring the parkway, Linville Falls/Caverns, Tweetsie Railroad, Boone, Blowing Rick, Gem Mining, Grandfather Mountain, Ashe Cheese Factory and more! The deck with a fireplace was perfect for roasting marshmallows and enjoying the exquisite view with a glass of wine. Loved having 3 private living spaces, washer/dryer, playroom, large covered/uncovered deck, open main level, spacious modern bathrooms, and proximity to numerous activities. We would definitely consider another stay at the Owl's Nest. Highly recommend this beautiful home!

Everything about Owl's Nest was outstanding! We had such great communication with Micki before we even stayed. The house was absolutely beautiful and the views were spectacular!! We had a minor hiccup with the rental when we checked in and I called after hours and Dillon jumped right on it to make our stay exactly what we expected. It's easy to like a company when everything goes smoothly but really shows the integrity of a company with how they handle things gone wrong. The "problem" was rectified immediately and we could not be happier. My husband and I rent a vacation home twice a year and while this was our first with BRMR, it will absolutely not be our last!!!

Our family truly enjoyed our stay at Owls Nest. The place was clean and very comfortable, we had 8 people and plenty of room to move around. The view is worth the trip even though we did experience some bad weather. It was “ Masters “ weekend and the TV worked amazing all weekend! This home was awesome! We had 8 family members and plenty of room for everyone. The place was very clean and well stocked with amenities! I will definitely rent through Blue Ridge again. Also, my daughter left an item behind and not only did they find it, they mailed it to us at no charge.
Simply Stunning

I cannot recommend Owl's Nest enough. It is newly built with great attention to detail, from furnishings to fixtures. With an upscale "rustic chic" style, I found it both comfortable and classy. I loved the sliding barn door to the master bedroom on the first floor that matches the accent wall. With 3 floors, there was plenty of room and the kids' space on the lower level (with wii) was a great addition. However, the best part about Owl's Nest is the spectacular view of the mountains and Blowing Rock. I could have sat out there all day talking with my friends or just watching the weather systems flow through. Simply stunning at any time of the day! My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer.
Off The Beaten Path Retreat

The Owl's Nest is a gorgeous, off the beaten path retreat, overlooking the Piscah National Forest. It has all the modern luxuries you could want while still allowing you to escape modern life and reboot in nature. The home is cozy from top to bottom and we loved how much privacy the Owl's Nest offers. We really enjoyed the feeling of living in the middle of the forest while still being so close to so many activities, towns and trails. The outdoor porch and fireplace were our absolute favorite part of the home, offering stunning, unimpeded view of the mountains which we enjoyed with our coffee in the morning, as well as, cocktails and wine at night. We very much enjoyed our stay at the Owl's Nest and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get away in rustic luxury.
