Fully stocked kitchen with everything one would need to make a meal. Comfortable seating nicely arranged around the gas stone fireplace. Dining area can seat six with additional seating at the bar counter in the kitchen. Guest rooms are located on the lower level, one with a Queen bed, the other with twin bunk beds. Guest rooms share a full bath that has a walk-in shower. Master bedroom is studio style with a King bed and open bath that includes a jetted tub and walk-in shower. Interior amenities are foosball table, tons of games for both kids and adults and large smart TV in the game room. Exterior amenities features include a hot tub, fire pit, hammock, plenty of seating to enjoy the view and propane grill. Tom’s Knob is within hiking distance and a perfect spot for wildlife viewing! Laurel Creek Falls are about 10 minutes away.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
- This home is located at over 3600' elevation and does NOT have central air conditioning. Open the windows and enjoy the mountain breezes!
- This home is pet friendly for a max of two (2) mature, well-trained dogs with a pet rent of $25/nt + tax per pet.
- The property is accessed by a steep gravel driveway. AWD or 4WD vehicles required during winter months. We are happy to help you find a property with the access that best suits you at any time of year!
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided
- Check in is after 4pm and check out is by 10am
- Firewood may be added by reaching out to us more than a week in advance. You get two wrapped bundles and a firestarter for $25/night.

- CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

Enjoyed the solitude, sun, and stars. The house was comfortable with 4 people. We enjoyed sitting on the deck with the breathtaking view, being in the hot tub, and sitting by the fire pit. We hiked to waterfalls, drove part of the Blue Ridge Parkway, and visited several small towns. The highlight was renting a pontoon boat on Lake Watauga. So relaxing and a great place to get away from COVID. Would not hesitate to return.

From the moment we arrived, we were overwhelmed with both the cabin and the service. The View what is exactly what we had seen on the internet, breathtaking! The home was clean and everything that we needed was there. The Blue Ridge Mountain staff wer polite and eager to please. We were there to shelter in place, both of us being First Responders. It was exactly what we needed for some relaxation and downtime. We felt safe, cared for, and pampered. We will definitely do this again.

Words can't express the view and the panoramic view of Misty Peak. From the moment we drove up Laurel Creek Rd, to the winding roads that left you in suspense as to what was around the corner. The neighborhood was quaint and the view of each cabins on the way, gave it a historical journey. From the babbling creeks and the unique little one way bridge. The drive up was road friendly and the suggestion for driving a Jeep is a must. The scenic view gave you a feeling of being some place out of the country. Once you reached the cabin, the view was so unreal. The mountains so high and how the trees gently kissed the clouds that laid gracefully over the mountains. The cabin was very quaint and with all amenities. The wrap around porch served as a stage to the beautiful view of the mountains, trees and fluffed clouds. Being at Misty Peak created memories for our quiet get away. It was uniquely designed for the perfect get away. Thank you so much for allowing us to create special memories at Misty Peak. My ratings for Misty Peak is the GALAXY RATING!!!

Having been a yearly renter with the previous owners for 13 yrs. I was afraid the house might not be in the same excellent condition as before but we were quite happy and it still felt like home.There's no better porch in the world to enjoy the changing light and skies of the mts.

The cabin was well equipped for the group trip we took. The hot tub view was by far our favorite part. The only downfall to the cabin would be the trash situation (bringing it to a dumpster yourself). Besides the trash we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. I HIGHLY recommend this one.

We had a great time at MIsty Peak. A few inconveniences were not enough towels/washcloths, the coffee pot was broken, and no propane for the grill. Other than that our stay was wonderful. It's about 30 minutes to any store, 30 minutes to ski beech resort and sugar mountain ski resort, which is great. The views were wonderful and the property itself is great! Likely to stay again!

We couldn't have asked for a better cabin to stay in for our children's first time seeing snow! Our children are ages 12, 9 and 2. The home was perfect for our family. It allowed the kids to have their own safe space and the parents to have their own space. We want this to be our place to stay for our annual snow trip! We may come back in the summer too! Overall this was an amazing cabin, with great amenities and views! I agree with some other posts, that I wouldn’t plan on coming if there is snow and-or ice. The driveway is steep and curvy, but once there the cabin has amazing views and great amenities! The kitchen is well appointed and the beds and bathrooms are well set-up for up to three kids and parents (like us). Only recommendation to owners is to invest in a new washer and dryer that work a little better, with less noise - and add some more gravel to the drive to help with heavy rains like we had. Otherwise, this cabin is definitely recommended! Thanks for helping us have a wonderful stay - despite the rain! (We missed the snow:()

Overall we have a great time ! We couldn’t keep the fire place going so we assumed it is connected to the thermostat. But if they call you and tell you snow is coming ; stay home! The drive way up is very difficult to get up and there isn’t much of a parking area when you get up to the top. This cabin would be a great stay in the summer or spring time ! Don’t go if they are calling for snow .
