Property Description
Welcome to The Cabins on Buckeye Creek at Eagles Nest, a rare and remarkable retreat designed for large groups seeking both connection and privacy. With eight ensuite bedrooms across four fully equipped cabins, this unique property sleeps up to 24 guests and blends the independence of individual homes with the convenience of a shared mountain compound. Arranged as two townhome-style buildings, each cabin offers a complete home of its own—yet the layout naturally brings guests together when they want to gather.

Between Cabins 1 and 2, an expansive indoor gathering area serves as the communal heart of the property. Here, long tables invite group meals, lounge seating encourages lazy afternoons, and game tables complete with ping pong and foosball spark friendly competition. A large screen TV makes it easy to enjoy movies, big games, or evening entertainment, and a collection of board games ensures fun for all ages. It’s a natural meeting point for celebrations, reunions, or casual evenings outdoors. Nearby, Cabin 1 features its own private hot tub, and the property includes two wood burning firepits, perfect for stargazing and s’mores.

Every cabin is crafted with comfort in mind, offering a warm mountain aesthetic paired with modern conveniences. Open-concept living rooms provide inviting places to unwind, featuring comfortable seating, large smart TVs, and windows that frame the surrounding woods and creek. Each full kitchen includes stainless appliances, ample counter space, and all the essentials for preparing everything from quick breakfasts to shared dinners around the island with seating for 6 at each cabin.

Large private decks extend the living space outdoors, each furnished with a fire table, seating, and dining area so guests can enjoy the mountain air morning to night. And for convenience during longer stays, every cabin includes its own washer and dryer.
Creekside Setting & Eagles Nest Access
The cabins sit along the soothing flow of Buckeye Creek, where guests can follow the water to discover private fishing and swimming holes—a mountain experience that feels both pristine and private. While the property is part of the renowned Eagles Nest community and includes access to its amenities, The Cabins on Buckeye Creek are reached via Buckeye Creek Road rather than the internal Eagles Nest road system. A private gated entrance ensures privacy.

Beyond the cabins themselves, the location offers even more to enjoy.
Relax and recharge at our creekside cabins, conveniently located just ¾ mile from the Buckeye Recreation Center. With a weekly family pass (around $50), guests can enjoy basketball courts, a fitness center, an indoor walking track, a playground, fishing access, and a variety of fun programs for all ages.

Back at the property, you’ll have 20 acres of private hiking trails that connect to the extensive trails of Eagles Nest to explore right outside your door. Wander through peaceful forest paths, enjoy the mountain air, or follow the sounds of Buckeye Creek, which flows directly behind the cabins and creates a beautiful natural backdrop. Spend your mornings or evenings relaxing on the porch, letting the kids play safely in the creek just steps away. The gentle flow is perfect for splashing, rock hopping, and exploring nature. With plenty of open outdoor space, families can unwind, reconnect, and enjoy the simple joy of being outside together.

You’ll also love being just 3 miles from Beech Mountain, a year-round destination for outdoor adventures. In winter, Beech Mountain offers skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, and snow tubing. In the warmer months, you can explore miles of hiking and mountain biking trails, enjoy scenic chairlift rides, visit local parks, or take part in seasonal festivals and family-friendly events.
Whether you're seeking outdoor excitement or peaceful mountain relaxation, our cabins provide the perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and natural beauty for your getaway.
