Property Description
Basye Retreat is a well-maintained 100% timber log cabin on a private wooded lot at the end of a long driveway -- perched high above Straton Way and less than one mile from Bryce Resort's main lodge. Enjoy the outdoors on the cozy private side deck with fire pit, gas grill, rope lights and comfortable seating. The main room's huge glass windows marry the cabin's rustic interior with the natural world outside. Access the cabin's front deck and main entry door via 15 steps up from the generous parking area. Located within the Bryce Resort community, this cabin is about .75 miles from the Resort’s main lodge and ski/bike lifts, and about 2.5 miles to Lake Laura, Smiley's Ice Cream, Burn Barrel tavern, Pale Fire Brewing, and the Basye Community Store.

Please review the listing photos carefully. This vintage cabin preserves its rustic charm in every way, with comforts you'd expect for a quiet retreat in the mountains. It’s a perfect home for families and small groups looking for a quiet location where nature provides both serenity and entertainment.

FEATURES & AMENITIES:
Unlike most modern rental properties, this cabin is authentically cozy, inviting, and practical. The living room is the heart of the home, with timber walls, a wood stove, and just the right space for a sofa, a few chairs and wall-mounted Smart TV. The original knotty-pine floors creak underfoot, adding to the charm, and the air carries the faint scent of pine. Both massive windows in the living area slide open to let the outside in! The cabin's all-wood main level also includes a dining area that seats six adjacent to a spacious kitchen & island. Two large skylights brighten the kitchen and dining room during the day while a variety of lights and lamps cast a warm glow that enhance the authentic log cabin experience! The kitchen has custom-built wood cabinets that complement the log cabin's natural beauty and includes basic appliances, cookware, tableware, a drip coffee maker and a Keurig coffee maker (filters provided, but please bring your own favorite grind or K-cups).

Basye Retreat features a spacious king bedroom off the kitchen (with privacy curtain), one bedroom with a queen bed and another bedroom with full and twin beds. The full bathroom includes a sauna while the half-bath is conveniently located near the two bedrooms. Adjacent to the full bathroom is a laundry room with full size washer & dryer. Access to the side deck is via a door in the full bathroom or the stairs accessible from the front of the property. Sleeps six comfortably, with capacity up to seven.

The cabin is supplied with bedding (pillows, bedspreads, blankets), fresh bed linens, one towel set per max occupants, one travel-size bar soap per max occupants, two rolls toilet paper per bathroom, four dishwasher tabs, five trash bags, one bath trash bag per bathroom, one paper towel roll, two kitchen dish towels, one travel-size dish soap, and one scrubby pad. We encourage guests with large groups, or who are staying several nights, or who are heavy users of consumable supplies to bring extra supplies or purchase them at the local Basye Community Store.

The flat screen Smart TV allows guests to log into popular streaming apps, and blazing fast 700+mbps WiFi internet, which is plenty for darn near any online activity.

However, guests have unlimited access to the Bryce Mountain Escapes pool at our reception office (2565 Orkney Grade).
