Property Description
Ridge & Water Manor is named for it's wintertime views of Lake Laura and Great North Mountain's ridge towering 2.000 feet above to the west. With sleeping space for 12 guests in four bedroom suites and a private loft, the Manor has plenty of room to spread out on the main floor living area, lower level game room, double covered decks (lower with hot tub), fire pit area, and covered outdoor grilling station. Public access to Lake Laura is a short 1/2 mile walk. Bryce Resort's lodge (ski/bike/golf) is a mere 3.2 miles and the town of Basye is only 1.5 miles (Community Store/Gas, The Burn Barrel tavern, Pale Fire Brewing, and Smiley's Ice Cream). The large driveway easily accommodates four vehicles and includes an EV charger. Access the home on the left side of the house, up eight steps to the entry door. <br />

FEATURES & AMENITIES:<br />
Upon entry on the main level, the foyer opens to a great room with huge vaulted ceilings, a west-facing wall of glass doors and windows, and a large covered deck with comfy seating. The living area includes a huge sectional sofa facing the stone wood-burning fireplace, and a large Smart TV above the mantle. Watch your favorite TV shows and movies with your preferred streaming providers. The kitchen and dining room are also located in the great room. The kitchen includes basic cookware, tableware, stainless steel appliances, and quartz countertops. Next to the kitchen is a coffee bar with a drip coffee maker (reusable gold filter provided, but please bring your favorite ground coffee). The dining area accommodates 12, with additional seating for four at the kitchen bar. The main floor also has a half bath, plus two bedroom suites (one with queen bed, one with king bed), each with its own full bathroom, wall-mounted Smart TV, and ceiling fan.<br />

Ascend the spiral staircase to the loft, where you'll find a sofa, oversized chair and Smart TV -- a perfect nook for relaxing, reading a book, watching a movie, or playing video games. The sofa converts to a queen size bed.<br />
<br />
The lower level features a huge recreation room with pool table, full-size ping pong table, large Smart TV, two sofas with built-in ottomans, Big Joe beanbag chair, and generous wet bar with mini-fridge and popcorn maker. A game table for four is perfect for cards, board games, and puzzle building. This epic game room extends out onto the covered lower patio with full size hot tub and additional outdoor seating. Draw down large screens on two sides of the hot tub for extra privacy and to block wind. A full size washer and dryer are available in the laundry closet at the back of the game room, along with two more bedroom suites (one with queen bed, the other with two twin bunk beds), each also with its own full bathroom, wall-mounted Smart TV, and ceiling fan.<br />

From the lower level patio or main entry door, head around to the back yard where you'll find a covered grilling station with a large gas grill and Blackstone flattop grill. As you're warming up the grills, get a fire going in the custom-built fire pit with seating for eight. <br />
<br />
Ridge & Water Manor is fully equipped with bedding (pillows, bedspreads, blankets), fresh bed linens, one towel set per max occupants, one travel-size bar soap per max occupants, two rolls toilet paper per bathroom, two dishwasher tabs, five trash bags, one bath trash bag per bathroom, one paper towel roll, one kitchen dish towel, one travel-size dish soap, and one scrubby pad. We encourage guests with large groups, or who are staying several nights, or who are heavy users of consumable supplies to bring extra supplies or purchase them at the local Basye Community Store. <br />
<br />
The WiFi internet runs at 400+mbps, which is plenty for everyone's online activities and adventures.<br />

**This is a self-check-in property. Guests will receive Check-in Instructions seven days prior to the arrival date, or immediately if booking within seven days. Your Check-in Instructions include the property address, driving directions, a unique Key Code, WiFi log-in credentials, and other important information. <br />

Guests are advised that this property may be difficult to access during winter storm events; all wheel drive or four wheel drive are highly recommended.<br />

Guests have unlimited access to the Bryce Mountain Escapes pool at our check-in office (2565 Orkney Grade, Mount Jackson, VA 22842), which is about 1.5 miles from this chalet. See pictures of our pool in the unit listing. It’s open 9am-5pm, Monday through Saturday between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Please Note: guests cannot access Bryce Resort's pool (Bryce Landing); it is private for Bryce Resort Members only. <br />
<br />
Quiet hours after 10:00pm and before 8:00am are strongly enforced by the local security and police.<br />

Bryce Resort offers many activities and features throughout the year, including snow skiing/boarding, snow tubing, golf, Lake Laura swimming, canoeing, paddle boarding, paddle boating, and kayaking, and a thrill-filled lift-accessed mountain bike park. Bryce Resort is also the perfect launch point for many other adventures in the northern Shenandoah Valley, including hiking, fishing, hot air ballooning, visiting wineries & breweries, exploring caverns, antiquing, enjoying the Shenandoah Valley Music Festival on summer Saturdays in nearby Orkney Springs, and so much more.
