Property Description

High Country Haven is an expansive log cabin located 30 minutes from downtown Boone, and 45 minutes away from Watauga Lake. Bristol, Tennessee is only an hour away. Elk Knob State Park, which offers hiking, snowshoeing and other activities, is nearby. High Country Haven is only an hour away from Blowing Rock, Banner Elk and Grandfather Mountain.


The living room on the main floor is luxuriously furnished with leather furniture and a stone fireplace. The dining area, large mounted Smart TV and coffee bar are all accessible from this room. The kitchen is completed with stainless appliances, and the covered deck has a gas barbecue and outdoor dining.


The upstairs landing is a great place to read. The king-sized master bedroom has a TV, an electric fireplace, and its own bathroom. On the third-level terrace, you can enjoy the gas fire pit. Two additional bedrooms are located on the main level, one with a king bed and the other with two twin beds. The hallway bathroom is shared by both bedrooms. The lower level family rooms have two queen-sized air mattresses and two queen-sized futons that can accommodate two people each. High Country Haven can host 12 guests assuming that two (2) people are on each futon, and one (1) person on the air mattress. This may be a tight fit for adults, but is comfortable for children. Plan accordingly. The family room includes a gas fireplace, a work desk, a Smart TV, a foosball game, an arcade game, a Smart TV, a foosball, and a Smart TV. The lower deck, accessed from the family room, has seating and a spa overlooking seasonal views.


High Country Haven offers everything you need for a mountain getaway, including a chiminea fire pit on the main deck, central heating, a/c, WiFi, and Smart TVs with programming or streaming. Reservations are allowed for up to two dogs, but they must be kept away from all furniture, beds and linens. Additional pet fees are applicable. The gravel driveway slopes down to a large gravel parking area. Winter travelers should have chains and 4WD or AWD cars ready, even though the HOA maintains roads.
